Who is more affectionate: a male cat or a female cat? A scientific look at the question

From personal experience, I'd say Males are more affectionate. But a lot depends on what they learn as young kittens.

We have a similar experience. Everyone we know who has male cats is affectionate. And for those who have female cats, it's about 50/50.

I have found that male cats are more curious and engaging. However it’s not totally confirmed.

Of course, a lot depends on the breed of the cat, but regarding male cats, you and I have a similar opinion.

We have a male and female cat. The male is much more affectionate than the female. The female is slicker than the male though. More street savvy.
