    My husband and I both work remote and he is training for the 2026 Olympics. You are the only person who we've seen share a RV set up similar to how we'd like to do it! Thank you so much for sharing, love all these videos. We're planning on getting a large toyhauler and hauling our gym as well. Since it's just the two of us, we think we may be able to keep most of the gym stuff in the toy hauler portion but I love the idea of bringing them outside.

    Assume wife was filming?? She loves the chairs - she loves the shackles near the stove- how often you go purchase 1 lb meat packages? I would think there would be neighbors over “watcha doing

      Yeah - she was filming. ha ha. I stock up on meat 2-3 times a week! I'm sure we get plenty of looks!!

    Great video!!! So I’ve been doing bodybuilding forever an wanted to switch to CF 💪🏼🤙🏼 what main movements or lifts would you say to start with or build that foundation around?? Thank you!!!! You’re the man!!!

    • @JasonGrubb
      @JasonGrubb  Рік тому +1

      Hey there... I'd say that there are 4 foundational strength movements... bench, squat, deadlift, and strict press. But the true foundation for CrossFit style fitness is conditioning.... then bodyweight movements and gymnastics, then weightlifting... and finally combining all of that into sport.

    Jason thanks for the video, really thinking about doing this but beu nervous? Two questions how do you decide when and where you will be? Do you have a storage unit back in CO that holds extra stuff that maybe you wanted to keep but can't in the RV? Thanks again and good luck at the game.

    • @JasonGrubb
      @JasonGrubb  Рік тому +1

      Hey! Good questions. My wife manages our schedule. We have places we need to be (CF Games, back to CO for a wedding this Summer, etc) or where we want to go (outer banks after the Games) and she maps a route from major point to major point. She keeps track of it in a calendar in google sheets. We have items stored for when we have a home base again. I know some people sell everything, but that wasn't for us. Hope that helps!

    Enjoyed this, thanks for sharing! I am curious though, what made you decide to live in an RV?

    • @JasonGrubb
      @JasonGrubb  Рік тому +1

      Why not? The housing market at the time was maxing out... and didn't really want the kids to go back to traditional school post covid. So all of the sudden, the world was available for exploration. Step one - get to know our country.

  • @artmartinez2686
    @artmartinez2686 Рік тому +1

    that was a great tour experience! Jason just wondering about the map that was outside the RV in beginning of video; I noticed some states were filled in --are those the areas you visited and the blank states areas you have not?

    • @JasonGrubb
      @JasonGrubb  Рік тому

      Exactly. If we stay in a location for more than 2 nights we count it. Otherwise, it stays blank.

    Love it man! Thanks for sharing. Note on the kayaks. Look into stand-up paddle boards. I waffled back and forth but went with inflatable paddle boards over sit-on-top kayaks. You can get ones with seats, places to put fishing poles, and all kinds of bells and whistles. Or you can go simple. I found it to be just as fun and easier to use with our kids, provided you aren't trying to paddle serious distance. As a bonus, they deflate into a relatively small area, so I can store them away when you don't/can't use them.

    • @JasonGrubb
      @JasonGrubb  Рік тому

      good call bro! Especially when we consider our lack of storage space.

    did this for a few months in 2022! loved it, this makes me miss the camper life! We had a big blessing and my wife got pregnant and couldn't stand the small space with a cat (litter box) so we settled down in a house. but best experience of my life was living on the road and working out outside by the beach

    Thank you for the tour of your home Jason. We love your set up. We had a full CF like gym set up when we had a toyhauler & was full time RV living after leaving our home state of Alaska. Now we bought a home base in Florida, downsized to a 38’ fifth wheel & scaled what gym equipment we bring on the road with us. We travel around 10+ months a year, even while in Florida. We’d love to meet you, we’ll be at the CrossFit games campground & of course we’re spectators, but we’ll be cheering you all on. Another friend of ours competed in the Masters competition (different age group), Clay Hamilton, he was the owner of our first CrossFit gym we joined back in 2016. We love CrossFit & the RV life, it helped my husband Chris beat diabetes & we enjoy every moment.
