Lance was phenomenal. Loved everything he did to fringe John wick horizon zero dawn quantum break and even the funny or die skit he did way back. Most definitely would have been there for wake 2 and the musical. Sucks he had leave us so soon
Loved what David harewood offered though. He’s a bit of a tasteful replacement id say but is unique in his own way that gives exactly an ominous presence the role needed him to be. Remedy team did a damn fine job. AW 2 is one of my fave games ever thanks to its very interesting story telling
Recently I started to play it on my xbox and it is a little laggy but works so well. This game is interesting for me c: I am trying to play through everything until the end and I hope I would love it
[The third story's idea of multiversal video games kinda reminds me of dbd, and how the licensed characters used in that game are canonically video game/movie characters in other universes]
I got a weird thought that Rose’s story is how Alan was trapped by Door. Door’s dialogue that states a happy ending ending for some (Rose) hints this was a bad end for Alan as he is trapped by Rose’s fanaticism. North Star shows him as the imprisoned sibling perhaps because he was imprisoned in the first episode. Dylan used the hiss to push out Polaris in Control so maybe Alan is using the story to free himself from the influence of Doors Night Springs. The last DLC seems to allow Alan to always meet the Time Breaker and maybe a way to surf back to his original reality, or maybe something close to it. Or maybe Time Breaker is showing how certain aspects of the world in AW 2 were influenced by Alan’s time stuck in Night Springs. Rose being more fanatical in AW 2, FBC existing because a version of Jesse was pulled into Alan’s world, and Tim Breaker being unable to remember his jumbled memories (maybe as a result of the text adventure game with tons of variations). Weird entry into the series nonetheless.
@@woogha Maybe. Time Breaker shows the actor jumping between worlds. Alan also was told by Door that he keeps peeking into other realities. I can see them being different Alan’s but also Alan’s consciousness taking over various Alan’s from different realities to some extent in a similar way to Scratch. AW2 hinted that Alan is a parautilitarian but there hasn’t been much confirmation on what those powers are or how they work.
In Jesse’s story, the percolate effect trying to take over and does take over the Sheriff is the same as the Hiss. Its clear its a stand in for the Hiss.
During the comic phase in Time Breaker, the agent says “Will you come back for me? Maybe..?…”. This is an evident reference to Quantum Break ending when Jack Joyce goes to Beth and whispers “I’ll come back for you!”
As a comment I really liked said: fanfiction does not have rules as severe and clear as horror does. Bad Fanfiction, then, is a genre in itself that requires even less precision. I am not surprised that Alan, maybe inspired by Rose's Zombie Apocalypse fanfiction, might have tried to give a shot at such a different genre and type of novel.
When I thought of this channel I wrote down a bunch of video ideas and one of them was “Playing Alan Wake 2 the way Sam Lake Intended” and involved playing all the games, watching all the shows, and reading all the novelizations before doing AW2 😂 maybe I’ll start on that and finish up after the next DLC hits.
Great vid, I absolutely love the Alan Wake series, (and Control equally!), Quantum Break is a great game, - however I would argue that while Door and Hatch are very similar , they not the same entity; Hatch is a shifter and as such his other/alternate selves still exist, whereas Door is a sole entity
Rose literally wrote twilight wtf. But on a cooler note. I love how No1 Fan eases you into the idea of alternate realities with all the insane shit. Also it’s cool to note that although there was a “happy ending” he was still in the writers room. He still looped. Same for the other two endings. He’s reaching for things he doesn’t understand so he can write something to get him out. He just doesn’t put it all together until the final draft.
Great summary of this DLC! As a fellow huge Alan Wake fan, this was really cool to listen to. In terms of my own ideas, am I the only one who thinks that North Star might be teasing some stuff in Control 2? Idk what yet, but I'm sure we'll find out soon.
At the end of the Alan Wake 2 new game plus, didn't Alan say he was the master of many worlds? I'm guessing that's why we saw him at the end of Time Breaker.
I feel like the first one was maybe originally gonna be an alex casey level, but they had to pivot after james passed:/ the other two are basically super short versions of their respective games lol so it feels like the first was maybe originally conceived as a max payne-eque level. Loved getting to play as rose though!!
I hope this gets read but I don’t think it’s the Multiverse the way you think it is. I think all the different branches or different universes are just different draft or points within the spiral and the actor or Tim brake has the power to travel between the loops because there’s a picture of a spiral that has a point in it, saying you are here. that would explain why everyone looks the same because they’re all the same person. They’re just filling in different roles.
Canon doesn't exist in Night Springs. But that's okay. I really have enjoyed these chapters. Its as if every game is a season of a show and every chapter is an episode. And whenever they around to the next game, either max payne 1+2 or control 2 they will do this again just watch.
Canon do exist. Night Springs itself was written by Alan Wake himself. American's Nightmare and all these three episodes of Night Springs pretty much contributed to the plot, expanding the lore and moved the characters forward.
@@zeroskaterz92 the only game i haven't played is quantum break so being able to at a "version" of it is nice to see. also the music in that chapter is tight.
I don't think Remedy will have any ownership issues in the future. Remedy already works with RockStar together to remake Max Payne.
