Hahahha "you are Slav " I was only lip syncing to that Slav song. It's by HardBass School. You should check out their channel. They're fuckin hilarious
Posting this on my Facebook page, as my current pick up your spirits Irish tune. Just the thing to listen before telling your boss to piss off! Thanks Chris!
It is indeed a very old Irish song. This version happens to be the one The Irish Rover's sang/sing (since, as far as I know, they're the only ones who 1. say "lime" instead of "lies" (because they are aware a bricklayer would use lime in making mortar) and 2. have the Bricklayer say that, once he's made his fortune, he's going to STOP WORKING (most other versions have the second part of the last verse go "or then I'll go back to me trade, and a million bricks I'll lay)
@@chrisgardbard I get it. A part of me gets sort of mad every time I hear a Scottish band singing "Donald, Where's yer Troosers", and they say "hello" in the chorus, since I am almost sure is is supposed to be "hullo" (which is a 19th century exclamation of mild surprise. The greeting "hello" didn't even EXIST when that song was written.)
I LOVE everything about this video! It takes a real manly man to be able to act this goofy and free! lol! Your singing is Great! And you're a hoot and a half, Chris! Request more of this kind of carefree fun romp-around singing from you! I believe your views should be in the hundred thousand plus range! You know bro, the Ladies like nothing better than sexy guy who has a great sense of humor! Have you taken this to TikTok? I believe you've found your niche in being a studly comic troubadour!!
This is going to be stuck in my head for days...
Almost as entrenching as "we are slav".

Thats why I did the rendition of that interpretation :) True to Form. I'm a tradesman so I muchly appreciate actual workman folk
