I dont think some people bashing the N in here realize that Joe owns a type R and is unbiased enough to drive this car and give it some great praise. Look at how much fun hes having
People will bash it because they haven't ever driven it or are upset that a Hyundai can be this good
I own both a type r and the N and somthing i can say is these cars are veeery close in performance only i give honda the strenth in the motor bits
Also, people don’t realize people running the N division used to run the M division at BMW. The Hyundai/Kia/Genesis group have gone a long way. Things shifting to EV are detracting from gas performance vehichles though.

Awesome stuff! As an Elantra N owner this makes me so happy to see you Joe give us owners a spotlight and highlight just how mod-friendly the N platform is! I will definitely follow Joel on IG. I’m so curious to know which tune he went with as that will be the next logical step in modifying mine. Thanks as always for the spectacular content Joe!
I am so glad that I could bring it to you!
Love the N cars. I've got a similar setup in my Kona N. With some 200tw tires as well, the thing rips ridiculously hard and cuts corners *way* harder than anyone would suspect. I've done multiple runs on the Cherohala Skyway as well as Tail of the Dragon with it on a cross country toad trip having TONS of stuff strapped down in the back and room for a small camp style bed to sleep. So much fun. Too much fun, even. The Swiss Army Knife of affordable vehicles! Thanks for the awesome review. 🤙
Joel was smart to add a oil catch can, it can help keep his car on the road a bit longer. This is an amazing machine that too many people sleep on.
Thank you!
Just wait when the engine catches on fire 😂😂
@@ju4121Typical biased comment. Go drive your Corolla
O😊😅
Supposedly the cylinder head has a built-in oil catch can per se. The oil just dumps back into the crankcase
Extra mods make a performance car better. I’ve seen plenty of sick type r’s that people mod. This is the first Elantra n that I’ve seen looks even killer with these modifications
I’m so glad you are digging this
Joe, I love that you are spreading the word about how good these 'N' cars are. As you know I own two of these Elantra 'N's. One is a manual and the other the DCT. Both are a blast to drive and each has it's own characteristics. I also know from your channel you own the 2023, 11th Gen Type R, so I applaud the unbiased review. I owned two 11th Gen Civic Si's and they were great but these Hyunadi's are in a class of their own. Every car has a personality, but boy, the 'N''s are the Swiss Army knife of performance sedans and cover a lot of bases for those looking for an affordable, fun performance sedan! Thanks!
Wich transmission do you recomand? I am presently an owner of a Manual MK7 GTI and the manual is soso (nothing compare to my 2004 rsx type-s i used to have)
Love these reviews of Raiti's Fam cars. Takes this channel to a whole new level of engagement. Nice work, Joe. Sweet ride, Joel!
I will get more together!
I love how passionate Joe about cars . It’s contagious.
That zonk/dead panel next to the instrument cluster is actually a phenomenal spot to put a suction cup phone holder since there isn't much space apart from the top of the dashboard to place one.
Sonata N-line owner here 👋🏽 love my car! Pushes 290 hp and 311 tq stock. I’d say I’m at around 340-350 hp with the mods I have now (intercooler, cold air intake, BOV, & Lap3 tune). These cars are super fun and affordable!
The only downside is you do not have an LSD
@RaitisRides I agree which is why I sold my sonata n line
@@Whileweweresinners can't you just install an after market LSD?

Hello I’m purchasing a 2024 Hyundai Elantra N. What stage tune do you have with those mods? 1.5?
I just picked up mine with a M/T in white. This car is an absolute riot
Congrats! You are so very right!
Love seeing the extracurricular goodies people employ on their rigs. More like this! Excellent review guys!
You git it! Thanks for being so supportive!
I Own a 23 Kona N DCT.. my god is this car a blast to drive. If you're interesting in knowing how they feel and are hesitant just go test drive one. I have the time of my life whether I'm in the car for 5 mins to grab a coffee or am travelling across the province - so fun
I've always loved the Elantra N and I believe that it doesn't get enough praise. Of course, many people found the front end to look a little strange. Well, in the coming months, we'll soon be able to get our hands on the new facelifted Elantra N which looks a lot more confident and smoother in the front end as they took away some of the black that took up a lot of real estate on the current Elantra N.
I honestly like the way it looks in this video and not much with the facelift 😅
The new one fixes everything wrong with the old styling. What a well deserved turnaround. Now the car looks as good as it performs.
@@SVW1976have you seen it in person? I like it a lot more in person than I do in pictures. It looks weird in pictures
Doesn't get praise because Hyundai has a dog shit track record.
the old one is italian deisgned and unique the new one is just a rinse of every other car
I will be honest, growing up from a household with two NSXs (gen one and two type R). I was very skeptical of this car when it first came out. I test drove one, and I fell in love. The car is basically a Korean civic Type R, just slightly “inferior” compared to something like an FK8. I bought one days later and now it’s been about a month since I bought it. I never regret it one bit, easily one of the most underrated enthusiast cars out there.
Love it!!! Great mods to keep it a sleeper style.... I have a 23 Kona N , Hyundai has come a long way in the years and keeping up with the best of the brands. Sure it maybe plastic doors and such (honestly you don't notice it when driving one) but your getting the best in the tech at a price much lower then what it competes with.
It's a shame the EVO died because everyone shat on the interior like what they expect, you're getting a 50k drive train on a 30k car
Wow! Awesome, seemingly low cost mods to get to that number. Perhaps it does not void the warranty. A great path to power on a lower priced car.
This is cap, another guy is bearly hitting 390hp with intake, actual tune and e30 plus meth. I doubt this guy is 380 to the wheel more so crank especially on a stock intercooler when you see how thin it is.
@@MWAclanGaming 380 Hp..

@@7speedjoe616 I'm running basically the same setup on my KN. Which map do you usually run?
@@apexcobra.official map3 daily

1. For fun runs
2. Kill map
@7speedjoe616 You your Map 3 / 6 setups octane learned or no? 91, 93, or e30 blend? I'm pretty conservative most of the time, daily is usually map 2 non-octane learned on 93 or map 4 non-octane learned with e30. Octane learned I usually run map 1 on 93 or map 3 on e30, just such a PITA for me to octane learn I only do it once every few weeks at best. I've got a few map 6 setups that I play with as well!
Looks great! The stance is perfect.
You are so right David!
That's what the latest Type R should have been. Very glad to see Hyundai offering such a car for the enthusiast without breaking the bank. Nice mods too! +1
The Elantra N is missing widebody fender flares. The Civic Type R, GR Corolla, and Integra Type S all have widebody fender flares.
What’s what it should have been? The 13.4 quarter mile time?
@@TheBreakfastLoverOh no! My widebody fender flares! Won't somebody think of the widebody fender flares! 😂

Awesome video Joe and Joel! I was so excited when he informed me you were doing content on his car. Maybe I can get a review on my Kona N one day
Wow that car looks like it’s very fun to drive, easy to live with, and also decent on gas.
I have a 2013 challenger 392 with the 6 speed manual, on good days I have run a 12.2 at 112mph. I imagine this Elantra N runs consistent times with the DCT transmission plus it’s a great handling car.
I always digged the Elantra N 😂😂😂 it's a really tuned car 🚗

That’s so awesome of you to say!

@@RaitisRides For sure
Elantra N is easily my fav budget car best value period!
Thanks Joe for the video and thanks to Joel for bringing his car. My nephew has stock Elantra N with the 6 speed manual and he enjoys it for what it is even though DCT is faster. I have a 2023 VW Golf R 6 speed and torque is limited to 280 by the factory while the DSG is 295. The DSG and DCT can handle more torque. If you boost power in manual clutch upgrade is needed. Joel what a fun car and know it is a risk with warranty if something breaks but seems worth it with this great performance.
It all comes down to how much power you go after.
Don't know much about tuned cars but 100 extra HP in a car like this make me smile.
Trust me it made me smile as well!
It won’t make you smile when it blows up. If you think this car will hold up to major mods long term, not happening. It’s a Hyundai. The Type-R will hold up just fine on the other hand.
@@brenttitus2134you kiss your dog with that mouth?
@@brenttitus2134there are guys that track these things that are tuned with no issues. Car has a better warranty and performs just as well for $15k~ cheaper.
@@brenttitus2134 consider the type r already has its over heating issues and grinding issues
I’m already at 40k miles and had the tune since 1k miles been to different drag strip and track days and no issues what’s so ever. Remember Hyundai isn’t where it was a few years ago.
My Type R is making 355 hp and torque to the wheels with an off the shelf tune, intake, intercooler, charge pipes, acuity radiator hoses, downpipe, prl street maf sensor housing, hasport 62a rear motor mount, front pipe, and exhaust with muffler delete. Also fitting Michelin pilot sport 4s 295 30 19's all the way around. So yeah that Hyundai is impressive, I'm hoping with a pro tune I'll be closer to 410 to the wheels. I have a lot of cooling mods like the fog light covers are mesh, I upgraded the front grill to the fully mesh one as well.
I love your On Throttle reactions, pure enjoyment in your face!!!
It’s amazing how humble joe Raiti is. 😊😊😊 god bless you brother.
12.2 is correct. im part of the kona N fb group and people with similar mods are making that power and running in that range :) (2022 kona N owner here)

street and track performance 👍, fun 👍, price 👍, suitability for every day use 👍.
Very good points for sure!
Hot dog! Imagine what a real tune and adding just a bolt on exhaust can make in thing! Clean ride! But be careful, the mod bug sends you into the rabbit hole real quick.
That’s my boy. He knows the mod but very well. The car he had before this was the. 17 Elantra sport and it was the 7DCT and fbo+tuned
Can you really get these dyno tuned ? Even the 24 version?
My first car was a 2013 Elantra. Damn Hyundai has come a long ways!!
Nice car. I got in march, a 23 dct same color with aftermarket 18" wheels. Currently has 1,400 miles. I rarely drive it, since i do food deliveries on a mirage 😊
I’m glad they got rid of all that black in the front. It looked like you went to one of those “pick-a-part” junkyards, got the front bumper from a black car but never got around to painting it to color match the rest of your car.
The Veloster was a nice car. They could’ve turned it into a performance, rally-inspired affordable car with AWD with a hybrid/PHEV option.
That N is a beast
This is a great video. Cheap thrills. Laughing all the way down the road. 380HP? That'll do.
I like the way that you think!
the days are coming soon the N catching M and AMG'S
Absolutely love my veloster N , wish it stayed with us long enough to get all the new bells and whistles that the Elantra N is getting now.
Great review
Amazing time for the 1/4 considering it’s front wheel drive.
Must of hooked good on that run
Good job Joe and Joel..! I have a new love for this car.....respect the N!!!
I love that car even without those mods, I love it!
So very cool man!
Was just looking for this car on this channel, and here it is lol
It is serendipity
Joe just needs to get one already. He's reviewed the elentra n like 6x lol. Everytime he has the biggest smile on his face. I just got my elentra n last week. Sent it off for tints, roof wrap, ppf and ceramic coating.
I got my elantra n last week and I’ve loved every second of it!
This car is awesome coming from a GLI owner i see a lot of similarities but this is what a hot hatch or sedan in this case should be off the showroom floor. I think the only problem with this car is the fact that it’s a Hyundai and a lot of people won’t consider it just based off that alone compared to offerings from Honda or Volkswagen
I own an IS38 GLI and honestly I'd prob trade straight up for a DCT EN
I firmly believe Hyundai and Kia are at a place now that Honda and Toyota were at in the 90s. Within 10 years they'll be go-to car brands.
I had the same reaction in the sonata N not sure what was done to it but every shift had A turbo noise how quick it is puts A smile on your face 😅
Hey Joe, Great review as always! I’ve owned a couple of Type Rs and have to admit that I at times am tempted to buy an Elantra N. My only concern is the long term reliability/dealer warranty experience but the many online reviews where some of the pickiest reviewers are just giggling on track because how good this car is! The insane markup for the R and Type S just makes a stronger argument to buy a very close competitor…with a DSG option! What’s not to love!!!😁👍
I know how you feel. Thank you for sharing that great ownership info.
Great review. Kudos to the owner Joel. Beautiful car and mods.
Thanks for letting share it with you!
Love the color and this thing is a rocket!
It really gets up and goes
This and the Forte Gt are my top picks for next car 🤤
I would go THIS all day long!
I have a 2023 Forte GT2 😎🔥 and I did the same mods that he did to his Elantra N and also lowered the suspension and changed the cat back exhaust and the delete pipe and my car gain 100 HP too but you have to remember the Kia Forte comes with 201 HP , 195 lbs of torque while the Elantra N comes with 276 HP , 289 lb of torque that's a big difference between these 2 cars when you are working on doing modifications in your car plus the Elantra N has that limited slip differential and the Kia doesn't !
the Kia Forte GT is cheaper than the Elantra N
Forte GT is mild, Any of the Ns are wild
@@boygonewhoopdataZZthe GT is like 5-10 k cheaper

The DCT is no joke and the most common transmission with the Elantra N. So rad you can get one with a manual. Glad to see manufacturers still offering fun 3 pedal cars, but that number is dwindling.

You know it!
You are so right, the Honda Si right now here in Canada is about 46,000 dollars dealers marking them up still. I can get a 2023 EN for 39,000? WTF? The EN is way more car than the Si and runs circles around it. I do love my 2020 Si with the manual and dampers but they removes those in the new Si. I really want a manual but i drove the DCT and wow it is quick for sure. There are 4 so far 23’s here still and 24’s should be here by the end of the month. Type R is 72,000 and there are 2 of them at dealers with a 24,000 mark up. Honda dealers are just plain bad!
I'm still happier with the manual. I drove a DCT for a test before buying mine. But the whole point was that I wanted a stick so that I can be involved in the driving experience.
Also, the son of the original CEO of Hyundai took over like 15 years ago, and stated, outright, that both Hyundai and KIA were going to be the top companies in the US. Did not disappoint.
