  • The Elantra N gets some changes from Hyundai for 2024. On the outside you will notice new wheels, front fascia and lighting. On the inside you will be greeted by performance seats and (2) 10.25in infotainment screens. Under the hood is a 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 that produces 286HP & is mated to an 8-speed DCT. Is the 2024 Hyundai Elantra N a BETTER sport sedan than an Acura Integra Type S?

A 2022 Elantra N DCT owner here, is amazing and fast car, for the money is a great value, you have four cars in one, Eco and Normal mode for cruise and driving daily, Sport and N mode for the mountains and road curse like Michelin Road Atlanta in Georgia. This car is made for track, the steering is very communicative, the track sense active is the best setting for racing track and autocross, the brakes is very responsive, I recommend a little better pads for some heats, but have great brakes. My car have 32,000 miles with not issues. Also believe or not very cheap in gas, I made a road trip from South Carolina to Texas I get 40.3 MPG over 370 miles in one tank. My brother is a very BMW Fan, he drove my Elantra N and he said is amazing car. I love my Elantra N.

I think doing a soft touch injection molded plastic on the top of the doors for a softer feel and a leather-ette material on the armrest and dash would have went a long way to make the interior a bit nicer. I think enthusiasts would pay an extra couple hundred dollars for these features if need be. Scrap the “oh crap handle as well, and offer at least electronic adjustments for the drivers seat.

I just purchased a 24 Elantra n dct in cyber grey over the weekend loving this car it’s so gooood. Also Joe keep in mind Hyundai underrates these from the factory. There’s been plenty of dyno videos showing the car putting down its claimed hp/trq to the tire so the actual hp/trq is more like well…bmw. These also need to be octane learned to give the full 19-20psi otherwise they will only put out 15. The difference is like 40hp so it’s no slouch. When these ideal conditions are met with the dct it’s a very quick car. Next video you review on these take a look at the turbo, it’s massive and has plenty of headroom for aftermarket support.

I've driven both. The Elantra in real world driving feels just as quick as the Acura. However, the Integra Type S felt better around corners, and of course the intangibles are that the Acura has a much better interior, and the build quality of the Acura just feels better. You get what you pay for, and yes even over the Civic Type R. If you just care about a fun to drive car with plenty of tech, and a good every day driver that will always put a smile on your face, the Elantra is a win. But personally I'd pay more for the Integra, also if you're an audiophile, you really can't do much better than the ELS sound system for the money.

Cheap paint, cheap interior, faulty fuel injectors, faulty knock sensors, DCT issues, already seeing electrical issues, faulty exhaust valve springs, trunk separation in warmer climates. Sure, some of the quirks I listed can be repaired but dealing with Hyundai America is the worst experience you can ever have. They simply don't care about customer service which is why they rank last in Customer Service Satisfaction.
