Being that it’s only a decocker, short reset trigger, comes with a threaded barrel, and optics ready, comes with 3 18 rounders. I had to pick this up as my first beretta 92 model
Good video, thanks! I'm a Beretta fan from WAY back (b4 the military adopted it). I currently run a M9A3. You didnt mention one VERY UNIQUE feature. The M9A3 (and i assume the A4) is the ONLY pistol i can think of that can be disassembled with the thread protector ON. Think of every other threaded bbl you've dealt with, can ANY of them be field stripped without taking off the thread protector (lemme know if im missing one). Not talking shit, just putting up one more reason to agree with you - this pistol is amazing! Action is smooth as glass, it's relable (with or without a can), accurate. It's big and heavy BUT... so are some of the best women 😁 so wtfvr 👍
The beretta 92 in general is a highly underrated firearm. Even to this day the beretta 92FS is one of the most reliable, accurate, safe and soft shooting pistols. The new versions are just that much better.
Also, I understand being turned off by a brand. I really got burned by that Sig p322 and ever since then, I've just not wanted to have anything to do with the company
@@sacrificialscience4405this is too bad I have a canik elite combat and it is a laser with an unreal trigger, reliable as it gets, extremely easy to handle to the point my wife stole it for her edc. That said, it is polymer and striker fired so I have migrated away from those for a while 🤷

That's a beauty alright! I have a 92x RDO compact as my main carry, a Sig P938 Legion for summer/pocket carry. Good video, thanks for sharing! I'll be 70 this year. I thought the weight would be a issue but it's not so far.
I haven't had a good shooting experience with 92FS (perhaps wide grip) so I thought M9's are in general the same and no difference between the two. Now thanks to the content creators like you, I'll give M9A4 a try to see maybe I'll do a better job.
The vertex grip makes the M9A4 a lot easier to hold than the older M9. The straight back strap is really nice. I hope you enjoy an M9A4 as much as I do!
Good video brother! It's the opposite here in Texas. Hard to shoot outside during the summer, finally cooled off enough for me to start getting back out there. Its only 95 now lol

@spacebear49 Im trans and recently got a pistol for carry. The fees for concealed carry are insane here. It's $160 for me, just to apply. Then $60-80 for a class ( required to apply ) . Open carry is illegal in Boulder.etc I think the Dems did this after they saw a lot of women and minorities arming themselves during COVID.
Traded my 92FS for the M9A4 centurion. 3 18 round magazines , shorter and threaded barrel, optic and light ready , much better trigger and not to mention the grip on the A4 is superior to the 92FS. No regrets at all over 1200 rounds later.
The M9A4 couldn't win. It would have needed a saftey to compete. Had Beretta given it a saftey/decocker and submitted it then it would have cleaned house.
@@badfinger4621 Exactly A3 was made for mil, A4 was made: (1) because they saw the popularity of the A3 in the civilian market and civilians love optics and "G" style levers (2) because I bought an A3 😡
@Op_Intrude-N313 Personally, I prefer the "F" style. I like to be able to leave my decocking lever in the down position and render the weapon inoperable to sum1 who isn't familiar with that style of operation. Could buy me a second. Could also be the little "make sure I'm awake" movement while it is laying on the nightstand. I believe the MAJORITY of folks like the "G" style (decock ONLY) and that Beretta kind of caters to that. Hell, the A3 is milled out for a G style, you can drop one in (I just don't want one). Have you shot yours suppressed yet?
Hey !! great video just wanted to let you know you are a bit off regarding berettas submission to the XM17 program. The M9A1 was submitted by Beretta prior to the XM17 - It had all the updates from Berettas 92 commercial version that had been implemented post-M9 technical package. The Marine Corps had the M9a1 outside procurement channels. since Beretta was the manufacturer of record they were allowed to submit this pistol as an update once the army started talking XM17. That was the M9a3 (Beretta’s nomenclature) It met about 80% of the requirements including modularity but was rejected by the army who then went ahead with the XM17 trials - Beretta’s submission was the APX which also has a FCU like the Sig but was too kooky looking and did not make the cut. Once the Sig was adopted as the M17 and M18 Beretta put everything it had developed along the way into the M9A4 you have there - it’s a fantastic pistol. BTW Beretta had also developed an M9A2 which was a retrofit of all the existing M9s with the updated tactical package. saving the army $$ by using the pistols they already had. sorry for the long explanation. cheers. btw Check out Mike @ Small Arms Solutions channel - he’s done a few really good videos on the topic.
