This is gun ASMR, love the host's voice and calm, professional presentation style over all the loudmouth ego urban commandos or elmer fudds that tend to be on gun videos. I will definitely have to stop by this shop the next time I'm up in Tennessee.
Over the years I have probably owned a dozen or so Beretta 92's of different styles. But last year I realized that I didn't have a Beretta of any kind. One of my students in a class did very well on the range with my 92 Compact Inox and begged me to sell it to him, so I did. One afternoon I was looking what one of my LE suppliers had on offer, and became aware of the 92X series. Most of them were LEO priced at about $700. But I noticed that one model was being sold at $501 including shipping. It was the 92X Compact in blue without a rail. The more I looked at the gun, the better I liked it. So I ordered one. Since then the 92X Compact has become one of my favorite handguns. I don't miss the rail because I think the gun looks better without it, and I already have a half dozen good pistols with rails. The gun came to me with the Beretta enhanced trigger pull and the Vertec grip frame. It also has dovetailed sights, and shipped to me with three 13 round magazines. Both the front strap and the back strap are nicely checkered, and it is quite easy to get a secure grip on the pistol. I haven't yet decided which set of grips to run on this gun, and it shoots superbly with either grip choice. I had a bin full of new Beretta 17 round factory magazines, and so I slipped an X-Grip adapter on the magazine and space for 18 rounds. When the longer magazine is used with an X-Grip, the visual effect is like that of a Brigadier with the full-sized grip and shorter barrel. The other thing I like is that unlike some other models, the barrel sits flush with the end of the slide. I really like the look and fee; of this gun. At the moment I'm carrying the gun in a Galco shoulder rig with two spare magazines on the off side. This 92X Compact is my favorite Beretta, ever. It is, simply put, a shooting machine, and its 2 pound weight seems fine to me.
Agreed. I bought a new Italian Berretta Compact with a traditional grip in 2017. I sent it to Wilson Combat to trick out. My best shooting, looking, and most carried CC gun.
I just bought the 92x performance. It is an unbelievably beautiful gun to shoot on the Range. It's interesting that you said the trigger is buttery smooth, because that's exactly what I said to one of the guys who runs the shop where I bought it. Besides that, it's an absolutely gorgeous piece. I just ordered wood grips which will take it to another level, I hope. I almost don't want to add a red eye because the design is already perfect. My shooting today was better than it's ever been, partially because of the weight of the gun I'm sure.

Beretta has really stepped up their game. My 92X shoots and performs so much better than the Army issued M9 I am accustomed to. My dad purchased the Performance Model which definitely has a great trigger. It looks great but I feel it’s over priced. Great Video.
I bought the Springfield Hellcat for my first gun and bought a Tulster holster in carbon fiber black. Pretty clean little package comes with tritium night sights too. And now more recently a week ago I bought a 92X performance defensive and I'm loving this thing. It's definitely one of my favorite things I've ever bought.
i know people who carry(concealed) the 92xperf model without a problem.Appendix(in front)concealed by a loose fitting t-shirt. I tried it & the accuracy is amazing.
If you buy the M9 leather IWB holster directly from berreta it fits the 92X performance defensive confirmed by Berreta and I bought it and it fits. I bet it fits the normal 92X performance as well. Its an extremely nice leather holster I carry the 92X performance defensive at 5 o'clock and its honestly pretty comfortable It doesn't support optics though.
I love my PX4 Storm. Berettas...Have a long history...since 1526. Berettas...have a very strong following...not to mention it's dependability and it's accuracy. What more do you want?
I’m a fairly novice shooter. I had the chance to shoot a few modern pistols at a range and I utterly adored shooting the 92X Performance. My groups were way tighter and it just felt lovely to shoot.
@5:35 five different plate options for the 92x RDO are Leupold, Trijicon, Burris/Docter/Vortex, Acro, and C-More. All available from Beretta USA. Appears to be offer to get one for free, just have to know which optic you want to use.
I wish he had spoken more on how to DECOCK and or disengage the 92x performance hammer, and also on the differences between the M9 A3 “F” and the M9 A3 “G” when it comes to Decocker/Safety. Other than that, Good job, thanks!! I just subscribed now. Also thumbed up 👍🏽!
Yeah would be nice. But it is fair to say it is not completely decocked if you decock the loadet gun, it is in a half cock position. And you just decock it like a gun with a hammer but you let go off the trigger before letting it go so it is in that halfcock position if you want to holster it.
Its really really easy to decock I have one. The skeltonized hammer has an indent for your thumb and really grippy serrations on it that grip your thumb really good As long at you don't let the hammer fall fast you're fine. I cock and decock mine with one hand while I watch t.v like its a fidget spinner.
I own all three of the pistols in this video. The performance model is nice no doubt. But the truth is that we seldom shoot it. Fully loaded it is just too heavy for the wife and my accuracy goes south after just a couple of mags simply because of the weight. I only shoot the performance model from a table vise. I can do much better freehand for a longer period of time with the 92X. I even have the 92X Centurion which is my favorite. Thx for the video.
I have the original 92 I bought in 81. I carried it in my pants in summer , on a belt holster on my motorbike, on a shoulder holster in winter for 20 years, I cannot count how many times it fell on the floor and road, never damaged, never discharged, always one up with full mag. The next 20 years I am still carrying a 5 shot hammerless S/S Taurus in a moon bag. I go everywhere and no one suspects I'm armed. All that said I would never give up the 92. I love the 1911 style safety. Really dislike the drop hammer. If public had a choice today, I wonder which way it would go. My Taurus of late saved me 4 times, thrice I drew and the bandits ran away, the last time during a home invasion I discarded the moon bag whilst being marched , no one noticed and I still have my 38. Intelligence over barbarians.
I've always liked the Beretta 92 the only problem with him they're too big too heavy and it'd be hard to conceal one they make a great home defense gun
I carry the 92X performance defensive with the official Berreta M9 leather IWB holster at 5 o'clock. And its really easy to carry. I don't even notice the weight anymore after just a couple days. I work with my family and conceal carry it and nobody knows I even have it on me.
Thanks for the comparative review. If I were to replace my Taurus PT 92, I would have no problem with any of the three in your video. However, I prefer the heavier weight of the 92X Performance and the longer threaded barrel of the M9-A3.

Can they all use the same magwell? I'm asking because they have a flared magwell for the 92x performance from Toni System and i want to put that on my M9A3

Beretta coped out with the RDO model!!! They could have milled the slide so the optic would sit lower, they should have licensed the Langdon Tactical model… smh… oh and NO optic plates, separate purchase! Seriously? WTF 😬

Can you get a silver barrel/all black model?
Why would they make the 92X performance with a rounded trigger guard, which makes it harder for you to access the light??
