The moment when someone who frequently handles real firearms holds a harpoon, which is basically a crossbow, away from himself because he is afraid it would explode :D
I know it's a joke, but there's some science to it. Conventional crossbows work really bad under water. So contrary to what you experience normally the rubber rope powered spear guns are more effective under water than a bow powered crossbow. There are also spring powered as well as high pressure gas powered ones. The one thing they all avoid are large moving levers and strings that have to slice through the water. Now I guess a modern design using high strength bow limbs inverted and parallel to the spear gun and using a pulley system to enable a long pull with small movements of the bow limbs and pulleys that makes the string mostly parallel to the spear might work reasonably well. But that is quite a bit of engineering and material research just to achieve what could be done using springs or more rubber.

Matt, there is such a weapon of the Soviet special forces, "VVS Vintorez" check it if you find it. It looks cool, and it's also unique. I would like to see it on your channel.
Matt: scared AF
cameraman: has no cover
I’d love for the cameraman to talk sometimes too. Just like “man I’m scared” “Maaaaaaan. I don’t even have cover. Shut up and shoot.” 😂😂😂
*How bulletproof is a Camera* episode confirmed?
@Wayne Smith I mean, it was because the small one was bouncing off. It doesn’t take slot of pressure to penetrate the skin (not saying break bone but maybe touch it) and that bolt was heavy af. He was just being careful. I agree the ducking coulda been a little over the top cuz he had the vest on. But he’s a dad, he want to go home to his kids.
@Wayne Smith hey, I didn’t say it was a good reason. Just saying the possible one. It could also be a physical way of showing gun safety without having to say it all the time like a broken record. But to each their own. I just see it as him doing him. If you’d be there balls to the wall guns blazing then more power too you. I would be precautious but I wouldn’t have ducked behind a chair.

Suddenly I’m taken back to the mines of Moria when Frodo was speared by a troll but he was saved by his shirt of Mithril. Next video “How bulletproof is a Mithril shirt?”
Mithril as described is basically Titanium but easier to work, so titanium chainmail.
Dude, it’s soooo crazy that you and Jordan collaborated on this video ! I use to watch his lake videos before i even knew about you, Matt ! It seriously blew my mind lol also, congrats on the 10 million subs 👏🏼👌🏼
get some compressed air powered one, i once poked a hole in a boats hull with one of those- it went through like a inch of fibreglass and wood

I would have really liked to see this done in your pool Matt we need to know what these guns can do in there element
Please make the next harpoon one as soon as you can !!!!!!! Thanks bros for all the good times

He made one that can take down a dragon. That shit is nuts. I think it's called 'The Perforation Of Smaug'

“You won’t believe how many boat anchors I found!”
I didn't know he had G3s
The fact that he’s always making fire intros!! Best channel on this platform

I want to see what happens when you shoot cornstarch and water mixture! It's a liquid that get hard when impacted! Seems like a fun experiment!
This is still the strangest yet most satisfying pair up
Just an FYI, some spearguns are powerful enough to destroy themselves if fired outside water...
So I'd say pretty powerful

They are also designed to exert more force under water.
