    RIP David Wilson's career. 2014 is a wash and giants docs have advised he no longer play football. Very sad a career ends before it begins.

      Barkley's arguably the greatest RB prospect oat. Not trying to downplay Wilson though. He was gonna be something special. Reminded me of a more explosive Tiki. Started off returning kickoffs early in his career/had fumbling issues.

  • @MrHeat1up
    @MrHeat1up 7 років тому +30

    I blame coughlin for Wilson ultimate demise. He forced him to hold the ball with both hands and ultimately falling on his head not protecting his neck. David Wilson only fumbled three times his whole career. With over 180 touches and only 3 fumbles his whole career with 2 in the same game. I glad Coughlin was fired from the Giants Organozation. David Wilson was a Hall of Fame athlete and would have shattered all the Giants running back records. I'm still pissed off.

    • @yankeemike8699
      @yankeemike8699 7 років тому +17

      Heat1up Holding the ball with two hands didn't cause this.
      "Glad Coughlin was fired"???? How can you call yourself a Giants fan? Coughlin is a hall of fame coach who delivered this team two super bowls. There's no guarantee Wilson would have done anything you said. Ungreatful ass.

    • @MrHeat1up
      @MrHeat1up 7 років тому +2

      +F0RG1V3N He fumbled 3 times his whole career. Two in 1 game. Coughlin was being an ass. Also he never fumbled on a hit or tackle, he fumbled attempting to get more yards and the defender ripping the ball out. TWO of those times he had two hands on the ball. A linebacker is about 60 pounds heavier, so holding the ball with two hands did not apply. Coughlin was just being a prick. So making him self conscious caused him to fall on his head and not protect his self from a simple fall. Also holding the ball high and tight is the only natural way to run full speed with a football. Running in open space holding the ball with two hands slows you up. The kid was special and ran hard. Coughlin hated his young spirt. Swag as they call it now. Ask anyone even a giants fan how many times Wilson fumbled in his career, they will get it wrong. Because his punishment was so harsh you would think he fumbled more than Tiki Barber.

    • @fredc1932
      @fredc1932 6 років тому +1

      Heat1up then why do all running backs who hold the ball with that technique not have the same injury

    • @brianb7423
      @brianb7423 6 років тому

      That’s a ridiculous statement. Tom coughlin told him to hold the ball with two hands because that’s what you’re supposed to do lol. He did the same thing with tiki barber and he had his best years towards the end (while coughlin was coaching). I loved David Wilson but he did have fumbling problems. In the 2013 opener he fumbled twice lol. I really wished he never got hurt because he did have insane talent and he would’ve been an outstanding complimentary back. If they had an offensive line in 2016 with him as rb maybe they go farther in the playoffs?

    • @mmdaniels33
      @mmdaniels33 7 років тому +1

      xBrianQ {Sports} {Turtles :D} No doubt he would be a help, especially in the return game. But I think the Giants biggest mistake was cutting Andre Williams this year. Our team lacks a physical style, that Andre Williams had. It's a mindset, When you start breaking tackles, it pumps everyone up. Jennings and Perkins couldn't get anything going because the line produced zero holes. Williams is the type of back to at least move a pile. In a game of inches, the difference between 3 yard runs and 2 yards is huge. Just my 2 cents. Just think how good they will be next year though!

      Tell him on behalf of the Giants fans we wish him the best of luck in whatever he does now for a living. Great guy and tremendous talent. Unfortunately he had to retire at what 24? 25? before he ever got going for us. Such a shame but that's how life is. Most important thing is that he's doing good now (which true Giants fans hope for). There is more than football in life. Cheers
