Could you measure what clearance the internal diameter is at the engine end and what the total length is in case anybody wants to fabricate one on the lathe ? Thanks for your content, excellent as ever.

Had to look twice at 1.04....
I cut up a plastic milk jug, used a smooth side piece, and made a funnel to slide the seal over the lip. Worked great.
May be a stupid question.. but where did you get the tool from please, i assume volvo?

70mm overall length
28mm I.D. at the wider end
20.6mm I.D. at the narrower threaded end.
