- I had a leak from the bottom of my Kitchenaid KDTM704ESS0 dishwasher.
I had trouble finding anyone willing to come out to repair it! When the only guy in town who would look at it came out he replaced a part but the dishwasher still leaked. He told me I'd have to replace the dishwasher.
This dishwasher is really nice, not that old, and is $1700 to replace so I decided to fix it myself. But the challenge was figuring out what part to replace.
It turned out to be easy. Most of the plumbing of the dishwasher is included in a single large part that you can buy, and replacing that part fixed my dishwasher.
excellent explanation . I will investigate this on my DW (same model) and report back
ummm, why not just replace the seal on that center shaft?
My recollection is that the seal wasn't available as a separate part. Plus I wasn't certain that was where the leak was coming from.
Thanks for the video. I've got the same model and I've found videos to replace the pump and motor assembly on *similar* models but none for this particular model or this particular pump and motor assembly. Any chance you can share the video you used? Thanks for any leads!

Thx!
What video did you follow for the pump and motor replacement?
Here is a video. ua-cam.com/video/GD1tN2D6pMY/v-deo.html if you are replacing the entire sump it’s a bit different.
