I am buying you a cup of coffee. This worked perfectly. I had a pan under it for a bit changing it after every load. Nice 5 minute fix, I appreciate the video.

I replaced the gasket using your video and it fixed the leak. Thank you! I paid $95 for a repair guy to tell me I needed a new circulation motor pump for $450. That's when I decided to try and fix it myself

Nice, same exact thing just happened to me. Found the leak, then looked online and your vid came up. Thanks!!
Good stuff! Would recommend some plumbers silicone on the gasket. That might fix it alone.
Thanks! Awesome explanation! i'll do it right away
Very helpful in saving time thank you for the tip
My model is KDTE334DSS0. will that part work for it? Thanks for posting
Thank you so much, buddy. You are so amazing.
You're welcome! Thanks For Watching!
Thanks for the good DIY video !
Bosch has a drain pan and sensored pump for general leaks in case any happens. Stay away from this engineering-disaster thing. It has many issues like the mesh filter going bad, open heating element hazard and controls stop responding.
Thank you sir I appreciate you sharing.
I changed the diverter motor and gasket but it still leaking from the same place. I made sure it was very tight. any other suggestion?
I found this almost fixed the leak. As it turned out, the leak was from around the outside of the gasket. So when replacing the new gasket a small dab of 100% silicone was used to set the gasket in place. A drop was smeared around the bottom of the location and another drop covered the outside of the gasket. The leak stopped.
Nice video! I have a different type of dishwasher and here what happens:
My dishwasher is over 20 years old (Kitchen Aid KUDI01DLBS0), and it started leaking from the bottom (on the right side of the door). I opened the bottom cover/panel and ran the Normal Cycle while watching it with a flashlight where the leak came from. It took about 15 min, until you could no longer add any more dishes and the cycle started. That is the time that i see it starts leaking, not from the bottom of the inlet valve but somewhere from above the valve visible part. What can this be? If there is an issue with the inlet valve it should start leaking as soon as you start the cycle? No?
Thank you in advance.
Thank you.
What if I did this and it’s still leaking ?
I replace the seal it didn’t fit/like you said it worked for two days and then this morning it’s still leaking not sure what to do
in your video, you installed the new gaskett with the flat side up. I see other videos where they install it flat side down. Which way is the right way?
The flat part goes down I noticed that I put it wrong. Thanks for pointing it out but I did this repair long time ago and I haven’t had any problems yet, so I guess it doesn’t matter how you put it but is better if you do it right thanks for your comment👍🏻👍🏻
@@DIYRepairsNow thanks for the quick response. Makes sense👍🏾
@@DIYRepairsNow I hope it won't make a difference. I thought the flat side was down when I pulled it out, but wasn't sure. Just finished replacing it and running test now to make sure leak is fixed. Was a very small leak...only noticed it because I had to replace the filter and thought I hadn't put it together right but all those connectors were dry. Thanks saved $500 to $1,000 at least cause I would have probably just bought a new dishwasher.
I have the KDTE204GPS0.....Where can I buy that seal ?
I fixed my KitchenAid dishwasher leaking from the bottom by replacing it with a Bosch dishwasher. Instead, I have had to replace the motor twice, the motherboard, twice, and all four of the bottom rack wheels I have never had a need so many repairs. Pure garbage.
Shrink wrap the shaft
not sure what happend put the gasket in and leak got worse
If you buy it the gasket from the Link I got you probably got two gaskets in the bag install the other one and make sure it sits in place if still leaking your leak probably is coming from somewhere else
@@DIYRepairsNow Dont know if the white piece on top the gasket is called the shield. But it looks like i may not have pressed it down far enough. So far after making adjustment no leaks with test rinse. I will keep my fingers crossed
@@DIYRepairsNow Actually just checked it is still leaking but very little from that area . just a few drops compared to a stream before. Have a plastic lid underneath caching the water
@@christhompson6010 in the comments on another video for the same repair some people mention using some plumbers tape around the gasket, Maybe try that?
@@jaybobd first couple of washes it dripped and after a few hot washes the drip slowly went away. not sure if the temperature caused expansion to fit tight.but hasn't leaked since
