- In this video, I show you and tell you how to play Mancala. It is a super fun game and each round only takes a couple of minutes to play. However, it is super addicting, so you can end up playing many rounds for hours on end before you put the game board away. The best part about this game is that you don't need an actual game board to play. You can recreate a game board using an egg carton and some marbles that you have lying around the house!

According the actual rules, if you finish putting a stone on your side, then you take the stones from the opposite side. Not from your side.
thats what i thought, and those stones from the opposite side get deposited in your mancala, then its the opponents turn, unless this is a variation of the classical rules

If your token ends up alone in one of your own wells, you take your opponent's tokens across from your well.

Bull shot that’s not mancalla that’s the kid’s version not the real version don’t listen to this unless you wanna play the kids version. The real version is a lot more fun.

We call this Ayò in Yoruba land of South West, Nigeria. The board is called Opón Ayò.
Is the playing method the same? cos it's not the method I know.
@@chisommuorah2990 yes the method is slightly different but it can be played in two ways.
1. Each pot contains 4 omo ayò. Then you drop each one anti-clockwise till it finishes.
2. You start with 4 omo ayò and play anti-clockwise, pick omo ayò from the pot and continue playing till you hit an empty pot.
