I liked what you said at the end about forcing yourself to add these licks to your vocabulary - at first it will seem forced, but eventually we make them our own and the come out sounding like ourselves.
Glad I found this lesson. I'm learning scales over backing tracks and I am boring myself while getting frustrated. These are great exercises that should spice up my playing. Cheers
This is such a useful lesson - so much easy to learn but useful stuff in a short period - wish I saw something like this earlier on in my learning, but still useful. Your bending lick example (2:33) sounds fantastic!
Thanks, this is a really great lesson--just what I was looking for at this point in my learning journey. I'm subscribed and looking forward to more of your insights and teaching. Great Lesson Pack too!
Looks like you stopped making videos two years ago. So sorry to see that. Your lessons and your website are first rate. Great teaching style and really useful info. Thanks for what you've put out there.
Wow! Some great classic licks that can be scattered in a solo that you can move around the neck and walk away with an armful of chicks. Well,.. may be just sound good.
Download the tab and backing track here 🙂 olicanamusic.com/top-5-rock-licks/

Am I crazy for thinking the 7th fret of the G string is the 4th of the minor pentatonic. Why am I confused?
It is the 4th in A minor. I probably misspoke!

Major and minor share the same 4th
