    I own this amp - it is always more than loud enough and I love that it is so small, i can shove it in my bag and put my bass on my back and I am ready to go! Got it 2 years or so ago and has been best money i ever spent.

    That was a very helpful review, thanks! I must admit, that amp sounds very clean and clear, just beautiful. I enjoyed your bass playing as well : )

    Love GK stuff! Own the 1001rb and the neo 15. The cab is light but the head is HEAVY! I'm looking into these little guys with the amount of power they hold in a small package. Great stuff!

    After watching dozen of bass heads demos it looks like you prepared the most interesting lines/grooves to show capabilities of this amp. Never mind with hardware + you're really skilled musician.

    Good review!!
    Maybe you could do a comparison of the 3 amps in the video some day, where all amps are set to flat,would probably help a lot in choosing the right amp for them.
    Thanks guys. Keep up the nice work :-)

    I enjoyed this demo as each control was demo'ed. Better than most, like the acknoledgement of the Aggie and TC and why his choice was what it is. I just may jump on that is in my area

    This and it’s siblings are great amps!...they get the job done and easy to transport.
    But will sound differently on various speakers!
    Also note that when you purchase a certain model,..check the speaker connection sockets for the proper one for the speaker to be used.
    Newest ones have the specific speaker cable sockets,..older models have the 1/4inch jacks... like guitar cables!..☝🏾🎶🎸

    My other question is with regard to the Fusion versions. I like tight, clean and punchy as opposed to the warmth of tubes. Do the Fusion models offer the same clean, punchy tone or should I stick with the regular MB series. I should mention that I also have a 1001-RB. I like the tone of the MB500 better.

    Hi, can you use this amp as a stand alone DI with EQ (like a sansamp) or does it need to be connected to a speaker?

    • @basstheworldofficial

      nikwoodham you can use it without a speaker connected. you can do this with every amp, except tube amps

    Does it have the ability to control any GK cabinet (specifically the Gallien-Krueger 410RBH/4 4x10" 800-Watt Bass Cabinet 4-Ohm) for turning off the horns, or allowing you to turn down the subwoofer when using effects?

    • @basstheworldofficial
      @basstheworldofficial  9 років тому

      Nope

    • @sly2kusa
      @sly2kusa 9 років тому

      Mind if I ask how one would go about turning the horns off on those cabs? I have been told that when wanting to use overdrive or fuzz/distortion that it is best to turn the subwoofer off, or at least start that way and turn it up very little (if any). Thanks.

    Pretty funny now how gallien-krueger discontinued 90% of all their bass heads and a whole lot of their bass cabinets and they only offer the Legacy series The m200 and like one other amplifier head... I should have bought one of these when I had the chance back in 2015...

    I always found GK the worst sounding amps!
    They're ok for a cheap $100 bass, but for higher end gear, you don't want to go GK! (they make a cheap bass sound mid range, and a high end bass mid range).

    I have been watching your reviews and such on this youboob thing for a long while, but I must admit, for whatever reason, when you said the words “galien-kreuger”, it sounded like you were an action movie villain! Hahahahaha! Like you are gonna show us how you were gonna use the head, to take over a foreign nation, and make the u.s. give you $45 trillion dollars in unmarked bonds! Hahahahaha! I know I should be ashamed, and I’m not making fun of you or your country of origin, but it was just the way you said it and the look on your face that made me go “oh Lort, Biden did that!” Hahahaha keep up the great work!

    Hey Pal, I have no need to learn your system of measurements. I am not working within the scientific community. So you have lost a potential customer for your snide remark about those who refuse to learn your system.
    I have news for you, this is a free planet. We are fee to have our own religion, our own language, our own monetary system and our own system of measurements, our own music, our own style] of dancing and our own culture and food..
