a good thing to mention on bird-types is that if you throw any enemy into the air, the bird-type instantly hits it.
it's a little strange that goldfinch evolves into khaos,it would be more logical for skull wing to become khaos and goldfinch to become phoenix or wingosaurus.

If you hold down the attack button on exploding circle with The End devil the attack charges and clears the entire screen IIRC
Just went back to it and you're right about covering a larger area by charging/holding the attack button. It's not the entire screen but it covers a decent area around you and does 1000 damage for a decent amount of Hearts. Guess I forgot about it since I didn't use it too much lol.
I've just covered it in my latest video which also shows all the weapons and armor! The footage is shown 47 seconds in.
you know at 52:00 for the devil type (end)..if you hold button square a bit longer the explosion will be bigger which is pretty cool to use it especially when enemies surround you
Thank you for sharing. Despite all the missed potential with this game (eg. boxy layouts, some lazy ID designs in some cases like with fairies and mages, etc,) I still very much enjoy it, esp. Krazy Mode. I'd kill for a remaster with more devil varieties, more item/weapon crafting, and multiple endings (eg. possibility of saving isaac?) A person can dream!

Glad you like it! The problem is how long it takes to do since you gotta farm a good amount of XP for IDs to drop a Devil Shard. That's probably why there hasn't been a detailed video of it until now.
Yeah, i've farmed a lot of them when i was playing Castlevania:cod, but not reached all of they and their abilities... appreciate your effort!!!

really love this game, is so underrated as hell
it has great combat that best most of modern games and it has great characters

I played this game years ago,and still has a hard copy for ps2.I finished the game and beat Dracula(was easy),but for beginners your gonna have a hard time

If you hold the button for the special attack of "The End" Devil, it will power up to a bigger explosion and radius. Also, I got him/her to the final level in hopes to see the "Fires beams from its eyes" but never saw it... Talk about getting my hopes up. Still the coolest devil in my book, at least aesthetically. Love this game, hope it gets remastered or backward compatible. I still play it in emulators, but my computer is trash and I don't enjoy the experience the same way.

You can actually use the crystal skull ability to become invulnerable, and then just stand in front of death while he casts his aoe and spam the button until you can steal it. I wish I had known this when I was trying to do like 7 perfect parries of the aoe ticks in a row and then dash forward and steal .....
With Talon Rod you can fast rotate Hector while Circle Scissors is active, to get the circle yellow and bigger, and do more damage

Talon Rod's Circle scissors can increase it's damage and rage if you move around yourself fast enough while skill active.

Due to ID and weapon forging, CoD is my personal favourite Castlevania game. I remember playing this more than a decade ago and having a blast breeding and developing the IDs.
it would be nice to have a rekame or a part 2 of this game, with the same engine, but more enemies, more phases, weapons, IDs, etc.

If there was ever a Persona/Shin Megami Tensei game in an Action RPG format rather than a traditional turnbased format, I'd like it to play similar to this game. Granted Persona does technically have an action RPG in the form of 5 Strikers, but there's less utilization of them in that game than there is the Innocent Devils here.

Sorry, I thought I had replied to your question but it seems I forgot :( You use the Devil's Vein to make Isaac's Chauve-Souris spear weapon. You also need the Chauve-Souris as one of the materials to create Death's Scythe. You basically need 2 Devil's Vein if you want to have both weapons since you'd need to recreate the Chauve-Souris after making the scythe.
I remember Corpsey's bonestorm used to to be great for destroying bosses health.

I played through this entire game and defeated legion before I finally realized the whole innocent devil/ follower mechanic.

To steal the death you have to use the devil type and the magic circle, or you will probl die in the explosion or get pushed back

@@elissestarlight6041 Devil's Vein you can steal from Isaac during the first fight, Dark Crystal you can steal from the Evil Core enemies which hang around the passage before Legion's boss fight. If you've unlocked the boss rush mode you can steal the Devil's Vein from Isaac there.
@@elissestarlight6041 Yep, just gotta stay locked on and press that button when they flash purple. For Isaac you get the chance to steal from him right at the start of the fight when he charges at you. Don't remember how easy it was to steal from the evil cores though. Oh here's how, hit the evil core with a quick weapon to open the steal window / purple flash and then steal before the window closes. You can also try using a multi-hitting ability
from your IDs (like heavenly sword) to keep the window open.

I remember I witnessed the magma battle type do this weird spin attack on auto. I think the Golem had an alternate melee attack.
They do have different attacks (at least some). I think it was the Golem that did the Cossack dance, went around kicking enemies like this gifimage.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/cossack-dance-gif-6.gif Loved watching it do that xD

I'd like to know how I can farm / develop my innocent devils (II.DD) from Level-1 ones, once I summitted them at Julia's shop. Once I won Mortvia Aqueduct boss and got the Crow I.D. in a near room, I then followed my way to get the brooch of bonds inside a chest almost outside the fortress (on an isolated corner). To say an extra I.D. pocket also was achieved in my way around the game. After that, travelled into Julia's room to forge every devil shard I had (between 4 and 7 of fairy and golem types) and create the new generation of II.DD.
So, my question is quite simple... How can I see every one of these 2nd generation II.DD. in my Summon list?
There should be an option to transfer the I.Ds when talking to Julia (it's called "Take I.D"). You'll have to switch them into your deck/active summon list from there to be able to see them on it. If your deck/summon list is full, the game won't allow you to transfer them. You'll have to store one of your active I.Ds, just click on "Store I.D" and then click on "Take I.D" to see the new I.Ds you've forged and be able to transfer them to your deck/summon list.

My brother keeps insisting that in the boss room with all the bloody walls that if you either defeated the boss or did something particular you would get a pumpkin mace there and in the process of getting that pumpkin mace and resurrecting the pumpkin by leveling up to a certain level you would get a second ability the second ability would allow you to permanently kill Red Skeletons
Now he never was able to figure it out a second time but he was able to figure out once years ago when he first got the game
But to this day we never figured it out so he could show me but he insisted was a second move from the poles and it allowed the pumpkin to kill red skeletons basically and as you know Reddit skeletons are basically unkillable exception with another certain weapon I think because basically the red skeletons just regenerate after you kill them
Yeah the only time I was ever able to eliminate a red skeleton permanently was with the mage that could exorcise them.

The ability "Just a Little" will randomly heal either full hp or 1hp each use. Usually the latter. "Magma Mode" looks like it upped the aggro level of the ID as well. Far more attacks in the same period of time.

Here is a fun fact: You can "evolve" your ID without having to level them up. You just gotta farm those 0 xp Skeleton at Abandon Castle and collect the Evo crystals for your ID. Might take a while.
I think you can still get your ID to evolve even when they are Level 99. So for example lets say you manage to get a Speed Mail at Level 1 and level him up to Level 99. You can still collect Evo Crystal to get him to evolve.
Also try to hear me out okay? Lol. This ID system is kind of like Pokemon? I think? In Pokemon we all know about EV training, IV stats, natures, breeding and all of these will determine your Pokemon's stats. In this game the big questions are...
1: What is the max generation for your ID? Is it Gen 99 the max?
2: Lets use your Speed Mail ID Gen 4 as an example. He dropped an Egg at Level 88 or something and later he also drop another Egg at Level 99 and you devil forged both Eggs. Will the Level 99 Egg the baby level 1 Magmard's stats be higher than the Level 88 Egg baby level 1 Magmard?
I think that no matter what lv your id generates a devil shard when you forge it makes no difference they will have the same stats.

Speed Mail ID Gen 4 Lv88-->Dropped Egg at Level 88 vs Same Speed Mail ID Gen 4 Lv99---->Dropped Egg at Level 99.
When you forge the eggs the egg dropped at Level 99 new Magmard will have higher stats than the Level 88 egg Magmard. Remember that each new ID will gain 10% stats from their current parent + their base stats later on it depend which form you let them evolve will further determine their offspring's stats.
Anyway...if you're just a casual player..don't let this bother you. Lol.

Yep, someone brought it to my attention so I included footage of it at the beginning of my "Castlevania: Curse of Darkness - All Weapons and Armor" vid which is on my pinned comment! The other trick I had missed, which I also covered in that vid, was that if you spun the left joystick around while using the Mage Type's "Circle Scissors" ability it would increase the size of it.

How do get Salamander I did what multiple FAQs and and walkthroughs didn't work do you need to be at a specific place, level, weapon or enemy
Well I just left my controller upside down on the desk so the stick was tilted and Hector ran around for like an hour (such a stupid requirement) with Goat Head out. The place, level, weapon or enemies shouldn't matter, you just have to keep him running continuously. I had him doing it in the same area in the video at Infinite Corridor and I was max level.

I made a separate video covering the weapons and armor which you can find here ua-cam.com/video/oxlxwS6scd8/v-deo.html I start covering the spears 22 minutes in. If you're talking about the Chauve-souris / Isaac's weapon you need Trident, Versatile Spear, Devil's Vein and Dark Crystal to make it.
Did anybody find out what does AGI do in the end?
Dunno if you still check your comments, but I just leveled up magmard to speed but I want to get hip press, how can I get another magmard?
Just keep killing enemies while having that Innocent Devil out and it will eventually drop a devil shard/egg. If you slay higher level enemies it'll drop it quicker. It also takes longer to drop depending on the I.D Type if I'm not mistaken. So Fairy would be the quickest, then Battle, etc.

You need to make a Pumpkin Mace which is complicated. To make the Pumpkin Mace you need to combine a Piko Piko Hammer and Pumpkin Head. To make the Piko Piko Hammer you need a Mace and a Miracle Egg. The miracle egg is found once in B1 of Dracula's Castle. It is also dropped by the Evil Core in the Giribaldi Temple (before the Legion fight) and by the rare monster Golden Bones which spawns right outside the Baljhet Mountains save room before the spot where you fought the Dragon. Just keep going in and out of the save room until it spawns, also have as much LCK as possible. The Pumpkin Head is made by combining Iron Mask and Miracle egg.To make Iron Mask you need Face Guard and Red Steel. To make Face Guard you need Stone Mask and Gano. To make Stone Mask you need Jade and Sun Tears. You can get Jade drops from Assassin Zombies and Sun Tear drops from the Flame Demon. You can also steel Sun Tears from Efreets right before the grab you when they try to blow up.
To level up Brow / winged devil from stage 2 you need to get 100 green evo crystals while using the Chauve-souris (Isaac's weapon). The make it you need Trident + Versatile Spear + Devil's Vein + Dark Crystal. You find the Devil's Vein in The Forest of Jigramunt and you can also steal it from Isaac. You can find Dark Crystal in the Baljhet Mountains, the 3rd floor of Infinite Corridor and by stealing it from Evil Cores.
