- Finally got one! This Kraton 6S is a BEAST! If you are looking to get a 6S truck from Arrma you won't be disappointed! Build quality is amazing and performance is a 10 out of 10! Just like with every RC vehicle there are some things to calibrate and adjust in order to make it suit your driving style.

Hi Eric! Greetings from down under! Really enjoy your videos. Keep it up. I am just starting in this rc world. I got the arrma vorteks as a birthday present. I am loving it! I think I caught the bug and i am looking to add the kraton 6s or big rock in the future. Maybe both who knows!

Hi Eric I've been looking at this truck and the E-Revo 2.0. can't decide between the two. I've heard the servo sucks also. What would you recommend? I have a lot of tall grass asphalt, gravel roads.... Looking for something durable for the money. I don't like that you have to use 2 batteries in the E-Revo 2.0 tho.
Also what would you recommend servo wise? My little mini erevo has a hard time in the grass sometimes, but I am missing the pin in the drivetrain (front wheels hardly spin).

I've owned a couple of these and also a e revo .
The kraton was easier to drive flat out kept a straight line most of the time the e revo was a handful and usually left for dead.
These were 2010 models
But the e revo landed without the big body slap the kraton does.
Overall my personal experience was I far prefer the kraton buts that mu opinion other people may like the e revo

Hahahaah they were driving a little 90 cc four wheelers when they were three years old I had them on stampede to S they now play with them but I keep the setting at 50%

I have a Kraton V5 6s also and agree that its a beast. Am happy that i bought one. Actually had 3 altogether.
I was told to get rid of the red aluminum spacer at the end of the lower arms and the plastic ones at the top and that will push the cvd in further so they don't pop out so easily. I took them off and threw them away and haven't ever had that problem.
Yup! I did the same thing and haven’t had an issue with the dog bones popping out anymore.
Yup the cvds wont pop out after backflips.
Just picked up my Kraton today. Getting back into the hobby and man these trucks are fast.

Got a Typhon 3S, love it, then got a Kraton EXB. Amazing truck
I just bought one today. I use to drive Nitro about 10 years ago. I took it out for 20 minutes and damn she's quick and loads of fun. Can't wait to actually see what it can do.
The thing is a beast! You can send it and she will fly! Just know you may have to upgrade a few things to avoid breakage like the frame support braces, upgrade the steering Bell crank and aluminum center diff.
I have one myself too but also wanted the 8s so instead of buying one in put it in the 6s man o man it’s even better
I love this thing just purchased one after having my Mojave for 1yr also got my son a senton 3s
I got same one I live in Anchorage winter most of the days so im excited to pull her out this year
I bought two of these. One for myself and one for my son. They are really fast and can take a beating. I would offer a word of caution though. Out of the box, check every screw you can get to and make sure they are snug. I had several that were not even screwed in all the way. My motor actually unscrewed from the mount and the two mount screws were not tight at all. So I would buy another one in a minute, just take a few to check things out. Blue lock tight works really well.

recently i picked up the Notorious 6s, kinda the same truck but with swb, its jumps and handles amazing! so much power in this truck!
i swapped out the diff fluids into 70k / 500k / 30k (front center rear) and i really like how it handles! no more tire ballooning and straight wheelie power! ;)

I have the Kraton, Big Rock and Senton. The Kraton is a powerhouse. The Big Rock is fun, takes a beating, but the Senton is fun, fast and takes a hell of a beating.
I’ve always wondered how the Senton was. The Kraton is a powerhouse for sure! I’m always afraid to push it too hard because something will end up broken. 😂

Nice! Yeah it was a tough choice between the Kraton or E Revo 2.0. 8s would be awesome! I think I might go X Maxx when I get ready to get that size.

I heard kraton is tough but heard about the servo being crappy. E-Revo 2.0 I heard durability issues. Looking for something that can handle the taller grass, dirt, gravel etc. .. I've been out of the hobby for about 20 years just got back into it and want best bang for buck. I'm not too hard of a basher. Just something to have fun with. I know stuffs gonna break cuz it's RC. Never heard of spektrum before tho and am clueless if I go with the kraton and the servo breaks, I wouldn't really know what to replace it with.

I've got a discontinued team associated RC8.2 1/8 buggy that I broke and can't get parts for. Reedy electronics are still good. 2000kv brushless motor, SC1000-BLesc and XP2G radio. I've also got 2 5200 mah, 35C 4s lipos. I want to get a Kraton to do some "average" bashing on my acre lot.
Question is should I go for the 1/8 EXB roller and use my 4S electronics or just get the 4S RTR for the same price? I really have no desire to go to 6S given I have parts for 4S and I think 4S is plenty fast for what I'm doing. Any advice is much appreciated!
I would just go with the 4S RTR if you are trying to saying some cash. In my opinion if you get the 1/8 EXB roller, you might as well getting stronger electronics as it’s a heavier truck. You don’t have to run 6S on the bigger motors. You can still run 4S but have more efficiency. Then later if you are feeling froggy you can run 6S and really let her rip!
I used a rc8.2e for years on 4s, wore it out got rid of it and bought a typhon 3s. The typhon 3s is just about as fast on 3s as the rc8.2e was on 4s! Much quieter and having a little less torque, its soooo much easier on tires.

With that smart esc do u still need smart batteries to get the battery level on the transmitter
I have the stock transmitter and it doesn’t have a battery level readout. I assume if you get a Spektrum transmitter with that capability, you would need the smart batteries as well.

Throttle inputs. More throttle to make it flip and brakes to level it out.

Very strong a few upgrades and a very fast fun and reliable (as far as rc cars go )
I run 4 s punch 9 maybe a little crazy but it's how you like it set it 😊

Yes! This thing is a beast! It just needs a couple of upgrades and it’s solid! Things like the chassis braces upgraded to metal, metal center diff and steering belcrank spring tightened.

I bougjt my 1st 6s kratom 3 weeks ago but just cant bring myself to take it outside yet and get it all dirty 😢
Yeah that is always the tough thing to do! Lol It’s all nice and pretty out of the box and you don’t want to get it all dirty. 😩😂

I ran those hrbs, and they lasted for a while, but eventually lost their steam. Bought zeee 100c and never looked back. I wont run anything less than 80c in this truck.

Nice video, im looking to buy an Arrma. I see the Kraton can be found as 1/8 and 1/10. Wish do you all rec?
The Kraton is a beast but can be finicky sometimes. There are some things it needs to make it solid because I had issues with it breaking after a few minuets of bashing. All in all an awesome truck!

Yo just got one of these, what's punch 4 mean? U mention it has 9 of something?
That is just what it’s set at from the factory. It’s the throttle response. It limits how quickly the car ramps up to full speed. Punch 9 gives you all the beans as soon as you hit the throttle.

Oh yeah she is heavy for sure! The heavier they are the easier they are to break on a jump if you don’t land just right. 😄
Not heavy compared to an 8s. I think a 6s is a good compromise between quick and nimble
E-revo would break after first 10 jumps... EXB would be better option
Really? I’ve been hearing mixed reviews. Heard the Kraton breaks easy and vice versa on the E Revo. I think both are pretty decent in durability, but if you land wrong of course it’s going to break something.

Kraton or typhoon 6s?!
Depends on what you want to do with it. Los of off road bashing and big air I’d say Kraton. Smaller off roading with more speed, nice air and probably racing then the Typhon 6S for sure.
