I said the same thing with my red cat machete the other day and I was at my local park just doing some light ground bashing just driving around having fun and there is this big 15 ft ditch that cuts the parking too and at the bottom of that ditch there's about a 3-ft wide stream that's about a foot deep. Somehow I accidentally let my car roll backwards and over the edge of the ditch and down into that stream I thought sure I was screwed it was fully submerged and it's the machete 6S so it's got the hobby wing WP 10 BL 158 when I pulled it out of the water the damn thing was still running lol.... I did take it apart and dry everything before I ran it again but it worked perfectly and it still works now

I know this is now 2 years later so I'm replying to something that you have long since forgot about probably but I will say that the problem with the cracking battery connectors definitely seems to be something that happens a lot on this platform I'm about to get my first one on Wednesday got a bunch of other cars just not this particular model yet so I'll find out first hand soon enough

Are those motor adjustment pins supported by plastic underneath there or is there a metal plate? Seems like a terrible design to adjust pinion mesh if it's going into plastic

Great job! I think the MAXX is the most desirable Traxxas truck. Everyone wants the XMaxx but really for someone like me this is the perfect rig that is a bit more budget friendly.

mines not seized, or has any play, but i took it apart cuz it was making loud squeaks when i spin it. After spinning my bearings they spin smoothly, not sure why the squeak then?

What’s ur punch setting at with the 15t pinion? I’m running an 18t and had to turn it down to 5 because it was way to much

I'm trying to figure out what size of button screw on the cover of the motor that closes with 3 screws I lost one, and my motor was creating drag, and the cover was open.

Came across your channel and the three I’m looking at is Typhon, Xmaxx, and Kraton. As you have experience with them all which is your top pick in order?

Yeah . Shocks and tires change the most with the landing and driving .

I put these on both my 3s and 6s and they both just plain are hard to control beyond 75% power. Both wheelie when you punch it with the 3s pretty much unable to NOT wheelie (and flip over) if you're at 100%. The tires balloon like a banshee and can rub against the body when turned and the front end is up in the air. They also kill the batteries quite a bit quicker. Overall these are fun to play around with... but you'll not want to use them all of the time.

Buy a quality pinion. I run a tekno rc pinion. Fantastic. Saga is great also. And the stock pin system is garbage. Buy a good motor mount and ditch it.
