That's awesome! I started with Pic-Time after a lot of research. However, I only use it to deliver galleries. So, with that said, it would be great to see how you use it

I started a free trial over a pictime, and i found a few things that make me hesitant to switch and I'm wondering how they weren't issues on your end as well. For example at SP, they allow, a gallery to be nested : you create gallery (client name), then album : say year 2023, then subalbums : session name and then can create subalbums within those like edits and highlights. PT does not allow this type of organization. You cannot see everything associated to one client in one place. That seems like a major pitfall. Also at PT, they make you have an expiration date on any sensitive galleries and I'm not seeing a password for gallery option anywhere although maybe it exists but I'm not seeing it. At PT, they do organize it this way for the client when they log in to their account but I had to talk to customer service to find that out, and they have no screenshots of what that looks like. I just really can't believe their isn't a way to see all the galleries/albums associated to one client in one place on the backend. How did you feel about this?

Yes, I'm wondering the same thing too. I am considering school photography but with pictime there is no way to do sub albums which is a bummer!

Hi! Thank you! I just did a photo shoot again after years. Wahoo!! It feels GOOD!! Now that my kiddo is a teenager, I really want to get back into photography! I already told my client what the price would be for the shoot and she needs shots for her website, so she doesn’t need prints but the digital version. I am looking at both delivery services you talked about as options. I was wondering if there is a way for her to view the gallery to download the digital ones she wants, but not charge any extra since that was already included in the price I previously set before researching galleries. Do they both have that capability? Thanks for your answer!

Hi Rebecca. How do you do your contacts and invoicing now? From what I understand that is a strong feature with Shootproof.

I use Dubsado! It's way more customizable and robust than Shootproof as a CRM.

I use Pic-Time and love it! I share full galleries with my clients, but I am thinking of having them pick let's say 20-30 photos (favorites) and then, if they want the full gallery, add the rest of the photos a cost. I think that's the way you do it, Rebecca. Will you be creating content to explain how to go about the process of letting your clients pick their favorites and only download those? That's one part of Pic-Time I don't know how to do. Thanks!

Yes! I’ve got something new coming out next month that walks through all the automations I’ve got set up in Pic-Time! 🙌🏼

Will you be doing a video on how to set things up on behind the lens or to the courses?

How difficult is it to switch from ShootProof to Pic-Time? How do you move galleries? Do I wait until my subscription runs out? I don’t want to waste money.

They have a migration service I believe! Yeah you could wait until your subscription runs out.

I’m looking for a platform that will be suitable for childcare photography. I’d like the parents to be able to pre pay for the photos before and then be able to set up private links for each parent to download their digital image or a code to go online and use to download due to privacy reasons. Do you know of anything that would be suitable for this? Struggling to find something.
    Thank you

So i currently use PASS plus for my gallery service and pic time seems almost identical. What are the differences?

    • @DrSarge37
      @DrSarge37 10 місяців тому

Not sure if you found the answer yet, but at least on the free tier I think pic-time allows you to have 10GB flat out whereas Pass+ looks like they only allow you to have 10 GB for the first 6 months and then decrease that to 3 GB after that.

Does Pictime have the contracts, invoices, and CRM that Shootproof has?

How do the fees compare to shootproof for print orders? I was with Pass for a while but the fees were killing me so that was one of the many things that drew me to shootproof over Pass.

I been using pic time for over a year and nobody ever bought anything. The only feedback i heard is that the stuff in the shop is SUPER EXPENSIVE. So its been completely unusable except for delivering the images digitally.

You can set your own prices in the shop!

@@RebeccaRiceEducation I activated the default pricelist store with all the products active. Left all the products in it the way they are. No clue what super expensive means. It's just the feedback I got from my clients.
I never ran a store so I don't know how much something should cost for me to earn a profit after taxes etc so I left everything at default.
I am scared to advertise the store beyond having it active for the clients when they get their gallery delivered because if it's really super expensive like they telling me it would hurt my business.
