what pipes are they? i had a similar noise that tuned out to be a slight blow . it was caused by aftermarket pipes, were the header slips over the spigot not been sealed properly.
These are Jackal pipes with TYGA end cans. I have these off the bike right now so I'll make sure they are sealed properly when it goes back together. Thanks!
It's getting there, thanks for asking! I'm not 100% done, so will figure out what's spare at the end! Best place for hard to get parts is the TZR Forum - pure2strokespirit.net/forums/index.php We have a use who keeps an eye on eBay too and highlights bits for sale. Are there any parts you are in need of? The forum has a wanted section too, and someone maybe holding that elusive bracket or such and happy to part with it!
Thanks a million for the reply very much appreciate it. I was chatting to a mate about the 3xv saying it was easier to mine gold from my back garden than it was to get spares for the wee Yam. Lol. I will be studying your videos over the next few days. Thanks so much for uploading them.
You're welcome! If you take the plunge and get a 3XV I would say you'll find it a super handling and fun machine. Oh and the smell is addictive! Good luck & let us know how you get on!
Sitting on the bike... u touched the left side carb . Screw . That's what it looked like . That the air/fuel mixture . Mess . The idel is on right side carb ..large screw..
Yes the TZR 250 3XV is a real mess when it comes to the air screw and idle. On the right, the idle is on the TPS and the airscrew is a knurled screw, of the left the idle is the knurled screw and the air is a recessed flat head! What fun!
