    Im thinking about mount this dock to a monitor arm, so that I can pull the laptop around. do you have any recommendation for the related equips to achieve this?

      @MartinHenry1  3 роки тому +1

      A laptop shelf might work. There are some can be connected to an existing monitor arms and some come with the clamp to to connect to the desk. Cable management could be a problem and you may need a way to secure the ultradock to the base plate if you are docking and undocking laptop a lot.
      I have included a link here *(AS AN EXAMPLE)* so you can see what i mean, but there are many other versions to choose from if you do a search.
      I hope this has been helpful. Thank you.

    Is there a way to flatten the laptop. Once plugged in there a slight tilt to it. I like to put my monitor on top of the laptop ... but the tilt is too much. Suggestions?

    • @MartinHenry1
      @MartinHenry1  4 роки тому

      yes there is a tilt. I had the same problem so I use a monitor stand connected to my workbench video here ua-cam.com/video/7YO9wCQzkqw/v-deo.html. for around 30 euro. I didn't like the idea of putting a monitor on top of my laptop, especially if it's heavy. This monitor stand gives me great freedom to move my monitor for good viewing angle. I hope this has helped you in some way.

      Not a good idea Ted. The laptop isn't designed to be used as a monitor base. Even a lightweight monitor placed on top of the closed laptop could damage the LCD screen.

    Excuse me. My English is not so good and I could'n get the point that are the ports on computer still active on case it's connected to dock?

    • @MartinHenry1
      @MartinHenry1  3 роки тому +2

      @erturk Yorulmaz. Hello, yes you can use the ports on the computer while it is docked in docking station giving you extra usb ports ect,, hope this makes sense.

    This suport for lenovo thinkpad t430 core i5 or core i7 version??

    • @MartinHenry1
      @MartinHenry1  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Riaz Zainal The t430 was released in 2012 so you most likely buying second hand. What country you live in and who you buy from *(vender or private)* will determine what warranty and backup support you get. As with all Lenovo replacement parts are readily available if something should brake, but you will need someone to make the repair if you cannot do it yourself. Try and buy a good clean t430 that has not been abused to much as always buyer beware. I live in Europe and Lenovo seem to have offices in most countries. Hope this has helped you.
