Well done Zack. As an owner of a Beluga Black '97 D-90, your review was pretty spot on. Would love to have seen you driven it off road but I am sure the owner would have objected.
I own a 1990 ex army 110 they are worth every penny You need to remember the AC, the centre console, the stereo have all been shoehorned into the vehicle later in the design life. They were never expecting it to accommodate anything more than squaddies, or farmers, when Maurice Wilkes designed them back in 1948
thanks Zack - as an owner of a 96 Disco1 SD 5 seater (no sunroofs) with manual - fabric seats and auto trans. and safari package - I like the compromise of the off-road capability and cross country drivability the defender doesn't have - the lack of cruise-control on the defender hurts and of course today's price point - but if I could go back in time and chose between the two when new I am sure I would select the defender
They NEVER were offered in 6 speed manuals, just 4 speed auto or a 5 speed manual the 6 speed was only introduced in 2007 with the 2.4 and 2.2 ford diesel engines.
Have you encountered Doug DeMuro? I hear he magically pops up in the back of any Defender and exclaims "THIS. Is my daily driver"
Ah the dougmobile
I totally expected him to say "CARS AND BIDS!!!" before the video started
