Definitely deserved! Very good Video.
Or in German. SUPER VIDEO!!1!
I put this off for faaaar to long!! Well played!
Turn that nein upside down ja.
This is one of my favorites of yours, but all of them are so good! Y'all definitely deserve it!
I am from Germany and didn't realised that you are not German, till you spoke english. Your pronounciation was perfect xD
Knowing German makes this song sound borderline psychotic.
Lmfao for real tho
Translate, please?
@@TheCompodulator Not the best song to translate :S
Du -> Du = You
Du hast -> hast = have/had BUT ALSO "hassen (in context "du hasst") = hate (You hate). While the lyrics do mean "have/had" it's intentional that u think they mean "hate".
Du hast mich -> mich = me
...
Du hast mich gefragt -> You asked me
und ich hab nichts gesagt -> and I said nothing
...
Willst du -> Do you want |
bis der Tod uns scheidet ->
until death divides us | "being faithful until death devides us" is a thing you promise at marriages in germany.
treue sein für alle Tage -> be faithful for all days |
Nein -> No
Because of the short sentences it's simply not very fitting for the english language they just don't make sense.
The line that is basically the whole song would be:
"You. You have/had/hate. You have/had/hate me. You asked me and I said nothig. Do you want to be faithful for all days until death devides us. No!"
🤣
Ya don't "know" a language. You understand it.
To me as a German, this sounds like a happy breakup song.
I mean, it kinda is a happy breakup song? Lol
Lol
someone has to play that on his wedding xD but only if they don't understand German except 1 or 2 persons xDD
@@mattsme13 I think it's about not wanting to marry someone because you don't want to chain yourself to one person forever. It doesn't necessarily mean the end of the relationship. But most rammstein lyrics are like poems and the meaning is different for every person.
They don't write em like that anymore.
Instead of flames, this RAMMSTEIN concert would have scented candles
And bubbleguns
Flowers in air cannons
Bahahahahah
Essential oils diffusers
And instead of a giant erupting dick they'd have rainbow confetti cannons.
Knowing german makes this sound like someone lost it to the point his anger meter broke 😂
Kinda, yeah 😂
Being SO angry that you say everything really fucking sarcastically and pissed with a smile :)
Rollo Fenrir can you translate please?
@@musicguy8912 Uhm, for a complete German - English translation you could just google that.
If you didn't mean a song translation...: what do you want to have translated??
@@musicguy8912 imagine standing at the altar, the priest is reciting the vows and goes "till death may part you" and you go "nah, I don't think so" with a super fucking happy smile.
That's basically this version of the song (not the original)
As a German dude, I can 100% approve the translation above me. Till just going "NOPE" at the priest after reciting the marriage question thing. There's probably a deeper meaning somewhere as with all Rammstein songs, but I ain't into that life.
I don't speak German so this, to me is a song about 9 flowers and kittens
Divyam Gautam it was sort of of wedding vows but the answers are no instead of yes lol
😂😂😂
It's about not loving someone
Maybe it is about being honest???

As a german speech science master let me assure you: Your pronounciation is actually pretty good! Wouldn't have guessed it was your fist time speaking German!
The most prominent thing is the realisation of "ch" but don't worry, this is a really tricky thing. Otherwhise our vocals are generally less stressed, especially the i and o. If you ever wanted this kind of feedback - there you go. Otherwhise ignore me and keep having fun with what you do!

This is even funnier when you know the whole song is a twist of words on German wedding vows.
Basically, this is the groom realizing his fiancé is insane, and losing it at the altar

Watching your comment reactions, and laughing at how people think changing the chords from minor to major is all you have to do! You should do exactly that, and see how they like it! Same instrumentations as the original, tempo, everything, just reverse from minor to major lol
In all seriousness, it might be a very educational experience for a lot of viewers who are learning music/production. I play a ukulele version of "Never gonna give you up" and literally all I do is slow the tempo, and alter the vocal melody slightly, and it completely changes the feel of the song, sounds very melancholy. Some songs it's that simple, some songs it's way more complicated (as you guys said). Music is super cool and mysterious that way.
