While I don't have the accessories, I use the the stove several times per week on my patio and I love it. A good cast iron skillet might save you the price of the accessories.
Just bought the Pro 3x.... Did the research and the Blackstone grills have a lot of hype about them but camp chef have them beat especially with 30k btu elements....
I bought one of these 20+ years ago...LOVED it...I.still have it...tho the grill box rusted out after about ten years......Now I use it for camping but back then I used it for BBQing..... Now I want their flat top grill... LOL
the explorer is the best camp stove ever, i use it for every thing from boiling water to grillin steaks and cooking pizzas. So much better than a coleman camp stove and so much more versitile
I have the the Tailgater Combo which is this stove bundled with the single burner griddle and single BBQ box. My ONLY complaint is that I wish the propane hose was angled to the rear of the stove instead of to the front. Other than that, it ticks all the boxes I need for a camp stove.
Dude- unless you want that BBQ lid to end up on the roof, OPEN it while lighting. You should open the tank slowly and have that burners set to off so you don't trip the safety valve, shutting down the propane.
I just got the same model from Camp Chef $119 from an e-mail offer. Been cold wet weather here and haven't used yet. Ordered the 1 burner BBQ grill box, it's on the way. Already own a 4 burner flat top w/grill grate combo model and very happy with it though it's not the portable type, doesn't travel well without a trailer... Just curious how is your stove holding up now? Are you still pleased with it?
it looks great but why the deep wells under those burners, I think for compactness they could be right under those pan grates and save tons of space as I have a subcompact and every inch means the world for camping
I’ve got a Pro 90, 3 burner. Having a problem simmering with it. We have double burner griddle and the single burner griddle, when we have both on the stove at the same time and the burners set at the lowest setting, the griddles are too hot to cook on and/or keep food on to keep warm. Any suggestions?
great video. i have a 2 burner stove also but its not a camp chef but my stove is so loud. i have the air floe valve that goes from yellow flame to blue flame but when its in blue flame it sounds like a blow torch. this one doesnt sound like it at all in this video. is this loud as well or is it quieter?
Hello friend. I just purchased the same grill that you have. I purchased the 14" griddle as well. How do you clean and maintain you griddle? Any information will be helpful. Thanks.
Hey, old review but hoping you can hit me back. Did you notice that the grill box cooks exceedingly slow and at a rather low temperature compared to the griddle? Cooking without the cover seems almost impossible from what I can tell -- my burgers would barely cook all the way through, let alone show grill marks.
I bought this grill - haven't unpacked it yet. I also bought a Onward Grill Pro 60090 Chrome Universal Heavy Duty Rotisserie Kit in the hope that i can use it to rotisserie chicken etc. do you think this is possible?
Has anyone tried to connect this to an RV Low pressure system with the adapter that Campchef sells? Just wondering if there is a reduction in heat output.
Cool video. I hesitate between the two burner griddle and the single as yours. Are you satisfied with the small one? Would you pick the bigger one? Thx
Can I ask what model grill box and griddle you used in this video? I've seen reviews state that a SG30 griddle will not fit on the Explorer 2 when the BB30L grill box is in place. It really looks like those are the items that you used, and it seemed like they worked well together. Any advice would be great, I'm basically hoping to replicate the setup that you have shown.
Sweethaven RV it looks like those are the two he used. If you look on Camp Chef website they have a tailgater combo that they sell that exact setup for sale in one package deal. I'm waiting for mine to show up as we speak! :)
I usually just use the thumb screw on the legs and slide it in or out to level it out if need be. Don't necessarily need leg levelers.
this video got better when you brought out the grill box and griddle ,great job!!

Yes grease catcher a must. Got two since I have two of the grill plates.
Get yourself a stainless steel dome cover to steam stuff.

A removable drip pan under the burners would be very helpful
That's what i can't figure out- how is there not a grease fire under grill box above burners? Just got mine. I am obviously missing something 👀
I have the Explorer two burner. Great product.
Enjoy.
I just got the triple model. Can't wait to get busy with it. Thanks
Excellent! I think you are really going to like it. It is amazing how much you can cook on these stoves! Good luck! Please remember to subscribe.

where is the grease catcher for the griddle?

Will have no affect on lighting
The bottom is completely open.
Make sure you get the drip pan
you can level/slope the cooker by adjusting the leg length to fit the ground and tighten the thumb screws... duh..
This exactly what I need.
Thanks for the Great Review. The Whole Video was perfect!

No issues to date!
That was a nice dismount
Very nice video. And very nice product
yeah sure looks beautiful but what about cleanup? specially that grill.... ??????

@@rossbickers3341 use a short rack to elevate off the surface to keep foods warm. Blackstone makes one that can be used on this as well
Very easy to assemble.
Thx. How do you catch grease?
Why didn’t you make the burgers in the grill box? That I would like to see and the bacon.
Is this better than the Coleman classic? Looking to gift it
Nice review!

jalspaugh3 no issues with cooking burgers. We really enjoyed cooking on both the griddle and box. Best of luck!

Does it have a grease tray ?
Can this be easily connected to a caravan BBQ gas point?
If you want to BBQ, buy a BBQ. if you need a stove top, this is perfect.
Can I ask what model grill box and griddle you used in this video?

Alway check it for gas leaks.
Unfortunately the accessories are more expensive than the unit itself.
downside.....seens the structure ia notbstainless steel...unlike other models ...u can see the shiny metal around the grill
You had till you said stick the lighter in.
Why does this have a prop 65 warning on it?
EVERYTHING in California does.
Why only 4 and a half and not 5? I have the same stove. I run a good catering service, and I give the Camp Chef a 5. I give your channel no like.
LOL "portable" anything is portable if you break it down enough
Nice setup 👍
