I just got the same model from Camp Chef $119 from an e-mail offer. Been cold wet weather here and haven't used yet. Ordered the 1 burner BBQ grill box, it's on the way. Already own a 4 burner flat top w/grill grate combo model and very happy with it though it's not the portable type, doesn't travel well without a trailer... Just curious how is your stove holding up now? Are you still pleased with it?

Cooks well but is an absolute nightmare to clean.

I have the the Tailgater Combo which is this stove bundled with the single burner griddle and single BBQ box. My ONLY complaint is that I wish the propane hose was angled to the rear of the stove instead of to the front. Other than that, it ticks all the boxes I need for a camp stove.

Do you have to use a travel cup or can you use the carafe to make 16 oz of coffee? I CANNOT get the setting to recognize a travel cup, it auto defaults to carafe. Not a user friendly machine. The delay button is the worst to figure out. It will not allow me to choose travel cup, only carafe! It's there someone I can call to walk me through? I rely on the delay button for my morning cup of Joe, but i don't need a whole or half carafe!

Adding my two cents here.... I like the 1.3 ltr pot as I can cook a Knorr side packet and have plenty of room. My fav so far is to take a small can of chicken and dump in the pot. Add water to the 1/2 liter mark. Bring to a boil with the lid on. Add a Knorr Creamy Chicken and Rice side (Chicken and Broccoli is what the original recipe suggested) and simmer for about 3 minutes with the lid on. Then I add a heaping teaspoon of Lemon Pepper and stir well. Remove from heat. Place lid on and set aside while you do camp chores for about 8 minutes or so. The only thing I do not like is the fact that I can not get a 250 gram fuel canister in the pot for packing. the 125 gram might fit but I have not tried it yet as I have a pile of 250 gram.

Is Indoor Cooking recommended as it have Charcoal Briquettes and it releases Carbon Monoxide ?

Are you able to program to brew at a specified time?

A dunno. I put one of those fuel cubes under my starter chimney, walk away, and 15 minutes they're all lit and ready to go. It couldn't be any simpler. This is a nice gadget though and I'm sure it works good, just seems time consuming to light a coal and let the fire spread. Just some thoughts 🙂

I bought a Whip It butane stove on Ebay for 24.00 and free ship with 4 cans of butane! These are great for camping or emergency! You put a can in and you can be cooking in 10 seconds flat...beautiful blue flame! You just have to be careful to use the correct size cookware and don't extend it over the butane sleeve. I really like mine...you can cook breakfast in 10 minutes or less!

Does anyone else have problems with the canister cover? The cover seems to be flimsy and not lock. Keep in mind I do not have a BTU canister inside. I'm doing a dry run make sure everything works correctly but I can't get the cover to lock..

Better to use the roasting rack....and ditch the Briquettes. You will get hotter, longer lasting heat by using REAL hardwood charcoal.

I gave him a thumbs up anyway but the main reason why I clicked on the video and if anyone can help me please chime in, is how to set the lever in the down position. I have you used mine many times before storing it away for the last 3 years. Once taken out of the case, I noticed that the knob was off showing not a scratch anywhere on the unit but two little chunks of where the plastic wrapped around the metal rod. Now I understand that the knob has that bump out that will catch an arm to cause the ignition and the fuel to flow. Okay I can manipulate that forget that this theoretically work but when I will try I would get no spark and no fuel so I noticed that the lever is not set and when I try to hide the candy are in the right position and push down the lever only goes so far and then it goes back up. I'm pretty sure that's where my problem is... any ideas?
