That was why she asked for a stanby interpreter just in case she does not understand the question just like what happened to her with that Millennial Miss Earth thing. Her strategy this time is to give her extra time to think while it is being translated to Thai as she pretends not to fully understand the question in english. What else was the reason for asking a standby interpreter which was really strange for a girl who grew up and was educated in Canada. Unfortunately for her, the judges realized that.
Enos Adieri I didn't see any trouble in her question!! Mexico got the harder question than TH because she had no choice to answer that mean that if she has no any knowledge about it she cant even say the words !!! In contrast, miss TH she got two choices but she cant make the decision that mean she didn't know what the first priority was !! And she failed !
I honestly really liked South Africa’s answer cause she provided a personal experience and talks smoothly

I think question of Miss Thailand is not difficult. She just choosing the two between privacy and security. She did very good answer but the quality of being Miss Universe can't see on her. I do reviewing there q and a but South Africa, Puerto Rico and Mexico did very well. South Africa just nailed it. I think miss Thailand received very tough and sensitive question, but she answered brilliantly. Her answer based on the reality. It is undeniable that both privacy and security are important.
When you consider her answer carefully, you can see that she slightly weighted her stance for privacy because she called for the medium line that government shouldn’t get into citizens’ privacy too much but still can protect the nation properly.
Being Miss Universe should be a peacemaker not a troublemaker.

@@BrianKabonyo i can say that all candidates are prepared with most unexpected questions thrown at them, BUT i would suggest that MUO contestants must not be given specific questions to answer but rather give them a chance to PICK a random question instead. That would be more democratic in a way.

But they probably would of expected for her to choose security and say they’re trying to protect us even if their invading our privacy. Easy question never put her to pressure. So, she made it well. When she passed the top 5 round, she gained lots of confidence even she knows she won't win the crown. Moving to the next round, she answered with more confidence and it came from her heart that'y why she won the crown. Anyway, let's imagine that night the top3 spots are Thailand South Africa and Mexico, who would you think to win the crown?

I was shook! When I heard Miss Thailand's question. I really understand what she had to say. As a Miss Universe you cant say "I choose privacy" cuz if you said that it means you think about yourself more than everyone while security is so important but you also need to protect your rights. So the way she answered made me think about Dayana's answer that as Miss Universe you dont take a side but you stand out for the right shout out and find the middle so different people can stay together peacefully. And she did perfect for the performances and answering the question. She deserved top 3 tho.

Miss Thailand got similar sensitive ques as miss mexico but the thing that made her fail is that she didnt answer the question! They asked what is more important and she's afraid to choose. If you cant take your own stand, how can you represent miss universe? They are looking for woman with their own mind, a woman who stands up for what she believes in. Her ans didnt reflect leadership or confident and thats why she failed. She simply have to choose betw security and privacy and explain why. Its simple as that.

For some reason I feel like Thailand usually get tough questions and political questions these years.
Our political stability is bad this decade, but they still keep asking political questions. It's like they always want us to pick side between the military and the people.
Exactly, this is the best situation to show the world how tough it is.
That's the perfect time to say something meaningful, intelligent because you know what is happening politically in ur own country. All their questions were difficult; no one questions were difficult than the other. It all depends if you did ur research and study n I thought they all answered well.

Im also thai but i think that almost everyone got political ques. Miss Thailand is representing her country and if shes afraid to express her pov, how can she be a leader or represent MU? MU obviously wants to crowd a woman with a strong pov and confident and Fahsai lacks this (shown by her face whwn answering) so we shouldnt blame the ques. Bec i do believe that even if miss SA got the same ques, she would still mamage to do it well.
