She spoke FACTs thats why.....powerful facts!
Rule number one: Miss South Africa repeated the question and then gave her answer straight to the point. She also repeatedly mentioned “and that is what we need to teach the young girls”. It’s very important to repeat question as answer because it makes the listener understands you emphasizing on the topic. And of course, she spoke with high level of confidence. The other two gave good answers too but you could hear them scattering looking for filler words. Those tiny, little pauses are what make them different. And that is why SA won. She knew her answer right away because she lived it.
Yes, exactly and not only does she just tells what she thinks but she also tells how to do it. It's not just like oh be yourself, it's like be a leader and take up space. Not just be yourself but go out there and do it. Viva take up space!!!!!!!!

Miss mexico and miss pertorico answers were beauty peageant answers, their style and words were beautiful but South Africa answer was beyond beauty peageant. She has the leadership qualities.

The moment South Africa answered 'leadership', I already knew that she'd be picked as the winner. Puerto Rico and Mexico answered well, too, but their answers are not the most urgent, since the world nowadays has focused so much on female leaderships. It's a good example, actually, for contestants to choose their answers carefully based on what could grabs most attention from the judge. But, congrats to the Top 3; for me they tend to be the best top 3 so far, compared to other years.

Young girls self esteem and self worth is a very big deal. SA answer stood out, but all 3 finalists answers was strong and all 3 were strong in each round/phase of the competition. The bar in this miss universe was very high.

We see so many perfection in social media, perfect lives, perfect bodies, perfect faces, perfect relationships. Nothing is that real. Miss South Africa won because she actually answered the question best. The other two girls were talking about superficial stuff that it shouldnt matter etc. But Ms South Africa actually spoke about something important. Women have been diminished and set back by society, denied opportunities, its time that they are taught that they can be leaders aswell.

Her vocabulary might be lacking for you but she was the most eloquent candidate to have answered this round. Also, I believe it's not about having an impressive vocabulary but it's how you articulate your thoughts through and she did that. Her answer has impacted and touched a lot of women who had understood her simple yet powerful answer and her answer will continue to inspire many young girls out there. That's why she won. She had the most effective answer that will only continue to inspire people as the days go by. Her simple words will live and hopefully one day, with her help and the help of those she has inspired, will take effect.

This is the best batch of Top 3 in Miss Universe history when it comes to question and answer. We really observed that there were two Spanish speakers: Mexico and Puerto Rico, but they were able to answer the final question very well in English. Yet, they did not use any sort of translating service.
Also, the judges had a very hard deliberation and that is why a closing statement was added in order to determine the winner of this pageant.
I agree all 3 were strong contenders any one of them could be miss universe. Totally judges had a hard decision this time all strong to wear the crown.
I don't know but mexico's answer is more appealing to me. It's more genuine and it felt like she's talking to my soul.

These 3 women gave an absolute great answers but SA's answer just undoubtly incredibly powerful. so often i saw parents tell their daughters to be subordinates either in work or family. and here SA advancely asked them to be leaders. her mind is just so fast forward.
