What do you recommend as far as 4gpm and 5.5 gpm?
i would go with 5.5gpm but your about $1000 more
@@kingofpressurewash any particular brand?
@@antoniorivera1311 There all pretty much the same. Most use the honda motor and thr general pump.
Just bought a 4000psi 3.3 gpm Honda gx270 engine with a AR 3.3 gpm pump. I am a beginner. I was hoping if I purchase a set of 2nd story tips for this that they will work with the downstream injector on the unit.
journey 005 maybe you might be a little low on gpm
This is a great video, I love that your human and do not hide how nervous you are trying to record this video, almost like actually talking to you in face to face. Keep up the videos great job
Actually having a hot water system is a wise and clever decision to have why you may ask ?? well having a how water system will be of a huge benefit in winter and also it will be a great selling point .. If your a window cleaner and also sell pressure washing or cleaning siding etc .., surely having hot water on your van or truck is a must have . How water on a professional cleaning truck is a must .. eventually
Hot water soft washing is a great marketing angle though. People love the idea of hot water cleaning.
Subscribed, and the leading reason is that I see you have replied to your subs.ive noticed alot of these yt power wash guys dont.thx
Also…. Hot water for paint removal works super easy and you don’t have chemicals possibly taking up other paint on accident.
Great info. Thank you. I have been researching hot vs cold.
Just depends on what you’re looking to do with it. You’re gonna do a lot of house washing you can go cold only. If you’re gonna do a lot of commercial work you’ll need hot
For a hot water pressure washer, do you need your own water supply or can you use the customer’s like normal? Not sure how hot water pressure washers are set up.
Depends on what size. If it's a 4 gallon a minute usually a house that will supply that
You sound like an expert. Got a concrete floor with 4 coats of acrylic I need to strip. What pressure would you recommend and how hot?
You probably gonna need some type of a stripper to get that off. Hot water and Pressure will not remove that.
@@kingofpressurewash hillyard makes a product called Arsenal. That may do the trick.
@@rocketj7449 amzn.to/2vbjKKm or a soygel stripper
A power washer is not what you need. You need a surface grinder with a diamond disk. You can't rent them from lowes, the discs are like sandpaper different grits for diff finish/smoothness. Then power wash. All you need is water, nothing special. A homeowner style pump will do you just fine in that situation.
I meant to say you CAN rent them from lowes
Do you need hot water for commercial kitchen cleaning
Yes
Love these new videos keep them coming your the man
If you have a hot water set up, is there a switch on it to use cold water, or do you have to buy a separate one?
Martial Law You can have it where you just don’t turn the burner on and then you’ll have Coldwater
Can you do a roof with hotwater machine if I don't have soft wash system
No you need a self wash machine to do roof
Great information Bro. I learned a LOT!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video. Thanks for your honesty
All I use is hot water all I clean is Vent Hoods melts that Grease right off great money compare to parking lots just way more messier in my opinion.
That one thing i dont want to do. But there is great money in it
Is there any certain brands of hot boxes that are better / more reliable /built better than the other? Can’t seem to find any videos on it
Gum spots what about a blowtorch spot check with a rotary tip
Anthony Hirsch yes you can do that if you don’t have heat
Thanks for posting this
So what are you planning on using?
I have a part time with northern tool. I can get a complete hot water 4000 psi, 4 gpm, Honda GX630 Vtwin, on a trailer with a 200 gallon tank, 210 degree water output, 150’ high pressure hose on a reel, second reel for up to 100’ 3/4” garden hose, CAT 66DX pump and with my discount I can get it for $6800. I want to get something that will take me from the simple driveway jobs to commercial jobs. If I get this, can I run it just like a regular cold water washer for simple jobs? How does that work?
Yes you can run it just like without the burner on
Yes you can run it without the burner on
What temperature I need to remove paint in the bricks...Thank
You either going to need high pressure or a good chemical that will help relieve that paint
Cleaning equipment before maintenance, hot water is critical.
jay west yes it is critical to clean heavy equipment with hot water and a good degreaser. In my younger days I used to work on heavy equipment and that was the only way to get them cleaned.
I see some pressure washers saying 132 degrees, and some hotter some colder. What temp would you recommend for truck washing or popping gum? or would both work and the hotter the better?
For gum popping hotter the better
Great video Jason
Thanks for watching
I see in backgroud cold water setup a container maybe 1000lt(250 gallon),it is enough to do the job ?or much easier would be use custumer water?
customers water
Fantastic video thanks for sharing👍👍👍
thanks for watching
Is it possible to clean a dumpster pad with cold water?
Your videos are very helpful thanks man
I want to use a power washer to strip old flaking paint from the exterior of my house. I was told by a pro to use a hot water system. Your thoughts?
What type of window cleaning do you do? I’m guesssing with a water pole and not by hand ?
Wfp
What chemicals you using for just general house pressure washing?
Currently I have to batch mix for roofs. I don’t usually get a lot of roof jobs. My question is how long will the mix stay good for? Also what is needed to winterize a 12 volt soft washing unit thank you
What chemical do you recommend for deep seeded oil in driveway
Great content as usual. What chemicals/brands do you use/recommend for cleaning with cold water for various surface types, thanks.
Man, I fell in love with a MI-T-M hot water $6700. I thought you could do a lot more with it, even ice dam remove, because it does wet steam, but according with you the difference between hot and cold it's very minimum, this change my whole idea
There is good money in ice dam removal and you can't do that with a cold water machine. If you have the opportunity to do ice dams I'd shoot for the hot water unit. They last a long time if you take care of them, which means over 10 years of profits from ice dams that you can't get with a cold water unit. Ice dams are rare where I live, but if you get them every winter where you are I'd get that machine and start advertising around Thanksgiving. Get some good boots and a safety harness if you're gonna get on icy roofs and stay safe.
@@housewashjosh5910 thanks ma I appreciate your tips
No, he mentioned a big difference. The anti-bacterial properties of heat are... killer:p No, I like the mold and mildew idea though.
I found a good deal on a whitco 3+ hot pressure washer. I have a old 4000psi gear driven general pump now . I dont pressure clean alot bc I'm a painting contractor so its usually houses but im looking to expand into concrete cleaning so really my question to you would be should i just grab another cold pc and a scrubber or does the hot work good on concrete as well. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Hot water will help you with oil’s stains
Thanks man great video
Thanks for watching is there any videos that you would like me to make to help you?
@@kingofpressurewash not as of yet, but you made it clear that a good cold water setup is a great place to start.
Greta, Thanks a lot!
If you had a hot water pressure washer can you use it for just cold water pressure washer
What about removing old sealer from pavers what would I use if not hot water?
Depends on what type of sealer it is. You can use something like so use soy gel or a stripper
@@kingofpressurewash thanks bid I was trying to have to avoid buying vaccum
Great video and as always we appreciate you sharing the wisdom. Very intrigued by your comments towards the end regarding window cleaning. It almost sounded like you were referring to some separate equipment that someone like myself would need to invest in before I could clean windows.? Could you please either reply or do a video were you expand on your window cleaning business and whatever equipment you think is needed? Thanks in advance
Check out The Window Cleanse and Window Cleaning Resource channels for good info on window cleaning tools and techniques. The most expensive thing you might want to add for window cleaning is a fresh water pole and the filter unit, but it's not 100% necessary to have those to do windows.

Do you do any sort of coaching or personal teaching when it comes to pressure washing. These videos are great and have a lot of information in them. I am a newbie in the pressure washer business. I work for a company who specializes in brick pavers. We run into troubles with are machines from time to time and instead of hiring someone else to fix it, I would like be the one to fix it. Do you have an email to contact with questions?
What if I wanna just start with hot water unit
i have a hot water pressure washer. but its only 1500 psi right. thats all i can afford i was told i can do some jobs i been told i can clean grease i been told i can clean. anything with it as long as i use the right chemicals now yoy haven't stirred me wrong so what do you think
You could clean anything with it. You could clean stuff like siding using either a down stream injector or a xjet to use chemicals to help clean the surfaces. Now as the grease it depends how hot it will go and also a good degreaser always helps.
I know it’s an upscale but isnt time money!? Does CheM take longer ?
What do you think about using a cold water washer to wash out trash cans and such as a business.
I think you can with a good degreaser but heat would be better
Thanks.
Hey Partner, love the videos. Question for ya. I am in California. The EPA here is tough on SH, if you get caught. You guys in the South use SH on buildings like its pure water....lol. So what would you recommend using to clean if I can't use SH. Thanks for your great advise sir.
Move out of California 🤣
Really there's not many other good options
Do you use your hot water rig for cleaning restaurant kitchens
Yes if you do kitchen you will need hot water
Would it be possible to have a 12v system and a hot water pressure washer unit together on a trailer and in the summer and spring and fall use the 12 volt system with cold water only and in the winter use the 12 volt with the hot water presssure washer to rinse?
Don't turn it up all the way because it will melt the what?
What temperature should I put my a hotbox on to remove oil stains
200
Can you use a hot water machine on roof ? Instead of softwssh
Jason I'm just about to step up the business and jump to the 8gpm and go hot. You recommend the kolar or the Honda? And pump preference?
330 if you go high it will melt what?
What temperature will it reach. My is 180 non adjustible
It will go from 100-210
Im starting with a 2.5 gpm 3700 psi
That will take a while but you gotta start somewhere
I got lucky and bought something I didn’t know that I had. 4000 psi at 4 gpm. Didn’t have a clue about the machine that bought. All that impressed me was the amount of pressure that it would put out compared to a 1500-2000 psi unit.
I currently do big rig fleet wash I have a set up of a honda Belt driven general pump 4000 psi 4gpm and a North Star hot Box 250F a 275 gallon buffer tank I would like to start power washing and I would like to know where would you draw the line with the Set up that I have Meaning what kind of work could I do with this set up
You could do house washing and concrete cleaning
Do u think a 3100 psi with a good degreaser will work at a gas station to remove oil and gum.
Is it hot water? Gum is very hard to get up without heat
Cold water, what equipment can I get to hook up to pressure washer to make it hot water without buying a whole new pressure washer.
Hot box but there $2k
I would rent a hot water if you only need it for a day
I was offered a job to do the whole gas station, to remove oil stains and gum he said its been sitting for awhile it might be hard to get out he told me just do the best I can and wants it done every 2 months so u think I can pull it off with that 3100 psi cold water and good degreaser or should I just pass on the offer...
Mr. G it will take you forever with cold to get the gum up. When we didn’t have hot there’s two ways to get it up
1 have a torch
2 rent one for like $75
Hey man I see the ram back there do you have it setup wondering if u can show a video on it
here the video

How much do you charge for a day of training?
My full day class is $750. I go everything you need to know about Marketing and how to pressure wash
@@kingofpressurewash, man, that is a great deal.
I just got myself a Camco heated drinking water hose from Walmart would it be possible to use that in conjunction with a Ryobi electric washer to turn it into a hot water washer?
I don’t think it’s going to get very hot and you don’t want hot water going through the pump. The pump will go bad if it’s getting hot
My plans are to do both residential and commercial including exhaust hoods. If you use degreaser for any of your cleanings what do you recommend?
How’d you make with the exhaust hoods? I’m trying to get into that as well seeing as we don’t get mold/mildew/algae here.
what chemicals do you use bro
SH. Surfactant
Thanks mate
Why do you turn the heat all the way daown? Im curious because i am new to the pressure washing game and i just bought a hot water add on unit from northstar
Because the heat can melt the siding
Can you use a small torch to get gum up
I wouldn't do that at s gas station.
How do you remove gum with a cold washer if u cant afford a hot one please any help would be lovely
acid or other chemicals depending on surface
What fitting do you recommend. When hooking up a soft wash hoes. To a hose reel to keep it from kinking?
Thanks
3:35....itll melt the what? Celerty? Enunciate please.
Sorry I’m not an English major
@@kingofpressurewash but what were you saying? I honestly have no idea, not trying to be rude.
It will melt the vinyl siding if you don’t turn it down
@@kingofpressurewash ok thanks
Awesome great content as usual
I try, Thanks for watching
If you are doing kitchen exhaust systems you need hot water..
Yes you will need hot water if you’re doing kidney gloss. And lots of clean clothes to get that nasty off of you. 😂
I'm upgrading to a 4 gpm pump I know the rule of thumb is 4 inches per gpm for a surface washer . So 16 inch should work best. How do you think a 20 inch would perform or would you change the nozzles
I have a 36 in SC running 4400 4GPM I have to run it slow
What’s your “go to” hot water hose?
You can use to wire but you can also use one wire also
How do you manage to get $1000 - $1500 for Window Cleaning? My clients would tell me to go fly a kite.
James Brown we don't get make that on window cleaning. I was talking about how much it cost to get into Exterior window cleaning. Normally our upsell of window cleaning is $100-$150
Hownay window for that price
Good video
I only use hot water. Imagine making 2x more money because jobs are so much faster..
Did you sell your business?

$1,500 for window cleaning? for one house? outside only? hard to believe...
You know little about window cleaning then. Depending on the size of the home and the type of windows, yes, you can hit $1500 for a job on a house.
The difference is one costs more, the results are the same
Really bad audio quality
Is see if I can fix it if not have to make another one
are you pissed or high ?
You should have done it in practical rather than elaborating so lengthy.
Easy kleen 4000 3500 bucks .
You might want to write your words down before you just start rambling on and on. This is either your first video, or nobody has given you any constructive criticism.

Relax buddy . Can tell you nervous. For one you said so many times . Just relax
Good job still
So you ripp people off with warm water? You just said you do absolutely nothing for it. I bet you momma is proud
We apply the soap and rinse with warm water. It cost us about 1 gallon of diesel fuel and 7-8k dollars for machine so yes it does cost us
I bet his momma is hella proud...Yours on the other hand is probably cringing.
