I love this stuff. Anyone outside looking in would say "Why are a bunch of adults spending hundreds of hours in a kids flash game?" While the actual game is silly, the pursuit of the fastest speedrun/TAS is all about problem solving, optimization, and dedication. So fun.

The TAS for the first level being generated by a brute force script is absolutely bananas. It makes sense that it would work but man
Brute force isn't that intensive on this game specifically, as you can ignore most of the inputs most of the time (you can't jump in the air), and you can save a list of the best times/speeds and stop early any tas that is slower by more than the amount of time it takes to lose that speed (which would cull most of the ones that don't hold right or hold left too much), so the amount of variations of the level is manageable.
Note that I haven't seen the brute force tool, but those are "easy" checks to make/things that are intrinsic to the game (e.g. having only 3 buttons) that make brute force manageable.

Your videos about the *original* Red Ball were very interesting and all, but I simply haven't had any experience with that game nor its sequels and spinoffs, except for Red Ball 4, which I hold very dearly in my heart as one of the most frequently played Flashgames by me.

This game's TAS looks like the TAS in Celeste Farewell's level on the fast few screens, keeping the speed throughout scren transitions and zooming all the way to the end
The year is 2012 red ball's creater evgeniy fedoseev made a game as quality as possible but evgeniy himself dont think in this series have a forbidden fruit in the games

I use Vegas Pro 20. I don't recommend it because of the instability, but I've learned to live with it.

Back when I was messing with Unity, I solved the problem of permitting double jumps as exploited by this TAS by disabling the ability to jump immediately after jumping, and then re-enabling it when the character is no longer airborne. To do this I implemented a mostly rectangular foot hitbox (the character was for all intents and purposes a circle) that was less wide than the character's circumference, which would be the main indicator of the character's state of motion. Since I never got very far, I'm sure there would be circumstances where the character would exit airborne state without actually ceasing to be airborne, like making contact with a wall in a certain way or something.
It seems that Red Ball, instead of tying being able to jump to the grounded state, tied not being able to jump to the airborne state.

I'm sure this has to be super flattering to the developers. That any community would put this much time and effort into clearing a game they developed.
Though I guess that's not always true. Since the communities are often completely abusing exploits. Some developers, I'm sure, can only see their game not being played at all as intended.

Hey, I would like to share a game called Sonic GT, its a game that is relatively unrun, but those who do have found crazy skips, I would just recommend it in general as its a its a super fun take on the 3D sonic formula for free. On top of that, there is a ton of characters, level, and game mode combinations to create so many categories, some being untouched. My favorite are reverse runs because they can take advantage of the wind barriers that are meant to keep you on track to your advantage.
