- Learn how to crochet three basic types of crochet border edgings n this tutorial video. Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. In this video I show how to make a traditional type of crochet edging as well as a picture frame and padded borders. These last two make a very neat and clean edging around your crochet work. Feel free to substitute the half double crochet (HDC) that I'm using with single crochet (SC), double crochet (DC), or treble crochet (TR). I'm using an H 5 mm crochet hook and worsted weight yarn for my sample.

This picture frame border is just what I needed to find for my 1st crochet blanket. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
You are so welcome!
Goddess of what seems to be nearly any crochet design and construction, are you. Sooooo happy I can check your channel several time daily. Glad too you have Tunesian videos as well. I am rarely ever bored!
Thank you! 😊
Well, now. I just realized the padded border is a very succinct demonstration of the envelope border that has always stumped me in mosaic crochet. You explained it so well and in a nonintimidating way. Thank you.
I love these technique types of videos. They're super useful to come back to when I'm making up my own project without a pattern.
Glad it was helpful!
Absolutely marvelous can’t wait for your holiday stuff! Love ya
WOW! Naztazia, your techniques for making crocheting easier? Off the charts wonderful! What I normally did to hide the uneven sides is to use the same color yarn. But this slip stitches first? Great idea 💡! Thanks so much for this tutorial. You are blessed!
Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful Donna! Thank you for sharing.
Ohhh....basically by slip stitching, a chain is created where I can then add any type of other border!! That's great!! Thank you!!!
What a great way to finish off a blanket! Thanks for sharing.
Oh wow. Nice. That is a great way to finish. Thank you for sharing with us.
Oh that seems like a better way to hide all the ends with the double border instead of weaving when you change colors every row. Love it.
I am satsfid thank You

I have a double crochet blanket I just finished, but it has holes on sides. I’m using really thick wool, but can I do a double crochet border?

I am going to try the picture frame padded border. Can i carry on with the border in DC once i have made the padded bit?
