The Very Best Care for Children Like Lou

The Carolyn Scott Rainbow House ensures families like the Friesens have a home-away-from-home when they need it most. At 32 weeks pregnant with her son Lou, Lacey was welcomed into the Rainbow House for the first time. Lou soon made his debut into the world and Children’s care team was prepared and ready to meet him. Early medical interventions helped Lou overcome and beat the odds and after 362 days, Lou finally got to go home. Diagnosed with a rare genetic disease, he remains medically complex and requires specialized expertise. The Rainbow House continues to serve as a familiar, welcoming part of his family’s routine, providing a convenient place of respite when Lou is at Children’s for care. This past weekend's Wine Women and Shoes benefits the Rainbow House, Children's home-away-from-home for families outside the Omaha metro that must travel for specialized pediatric care.
