the tremsetter is just super. I put myself this on two guitars with floyd rose, now the system holds perfectly.
Thanks Bryce. I purchased two of these unit direct from AEX.
Hey Bryce, Because of your reviews, I got one from Alex (Great guy) and one from Germany (Tremmory) and both do the job nicely. Although, one of my guitars liked Alex's and the other one liked the Tremmory. As you mentioned, Alex's contraption seems to have some more heft to it. Thanks a lot for letting us all know about these great little inventions. I love em!
Where can i buy? I live in europe like Alex
Hey Bryce! I just wanted to thank you for hooking me up with Alex! I've just installed my unit and it is utter perfection, works like a charm and Alexwas a real pleasure to deal with too! Now I just need to adjust my ears to the in-tune double stop bends.... :D
Hell yeah! So glad you were able to reach out and get one of these! Really great product, and happy to help in whatever small way I can
Just got mine from Alex.
$87 shipped to nj!
Very excited
Hell yeah! Enjoy!
Can you send me the link to order one? I can't find anywhere online
Hey, thanks a lot man. On behalf of these informations I bought a couple of them and they work great. Also, mister Chromov is a very nice fella.
Hell yeah! Glad you found these!
You just made me want to buy a guitar with a floyd rose in it 😍
Hell yeah, do it!
Hello Bryce, great video there! Do you think this tremolo stabilizer will be helpful for a Floyd Rose 1000 with slightly damaged knifes ?
I assume it would improve all these issues on a regular floating bridge as well? I've got a two point trem system (non locking floyd etc) and now just blocked it off, to deal with bending issues. But in one song my band's current set I'd like to use my trem if I can, but still be able to do bends without going out of pitch issues.
Yes it absolutely will! Recommended for every trem equipped guitar!
Hi, I bought such a device for a Lag Arkane 500. The guitar is equipped with a Floyd Rose Tremolo System. A very good device, the tuning of the guitar does not change when using tremolo. I am very pleased with the device.
could you please share the contact where you bought it from?
Can I ask you something about the Russian tremolo stabiliser you have?
@@elipse4594 Yes, sure.
What did you pay for it, and was this before or after the war started?@@lemikllm
I definitely need one of those stabilizers, I'll try on a cheaper one, if it works for me I'll use on all my guitars.
Hell yeah!!
Hello Bryce, are you able to still do a very subtle, small vibrato with this unit? I'm curious
Hi Bryce, the does screw and the Trem Stabilizer get tighted? Thanks
Great to see you actually credit the original Russian invertor Александр Хромов, BTW, on a previous video you reviewed the German Tremmory that is a copy of the original russian one but at twice the price, Did you found any significant differences in both?, how about construction quality, materials and durability?
I prefer the Russian one! Seems a little more durable imo. Other than that, they work pretty much the same.
@@bvanhoosen Bryce, thanks for the video . I really need this device. Can you clarify how much I can downtune the whole guitar with this thing on and the tension springs tightened as well as using high tension ( red springs for the claw)? Basically I wanted to know if I can go to like drop c without adjusting the float and still have the ability of using the trem to pull up and dive ( ofcourse with much more force required)
Appreciate any input you can provide
And my email to the seller just bounced undeliverable. Do you possibly have another way to contact him?
@@allboutthemojo I like the look of this stabiliser too, but having a package arrive from Russia at the moment carries the risk of being put on some kind of watch list.
@@surfdigby good point. Infact usps may even be rejecting all packages from Russia. Even so, I couldn't locate the seller or device to purchase anyway
Can you close the lid that covers the springs after installing it or does it stick out?, Does it gets in the way of the clothes or the springs get loose like the Tremol-No system?
I can put the back plate back on! If it sticks out, it could be that you need to use a smaller block on your Floyd Rose.
Hey question, if I'm changing from standard to Open D or FADGCE for example, would I need to make any adjustments? Or would this just be set and forget and it would help me tune to different open string tunings easier?
Thanks
Ive only done drop D, but I feel like a half step change on the low E and B wouldn’t be too much for it to handle. Any drastic changes beyond 1 or 2 strings would probably be too much though.
I've always used the tremol-no on all my Floyd guitars but I'm liking this but does it work well with the D-Tuna?
Yes, it works very well with d tune
Bryce -- is this much different from the Tremmory, aside from the source (Russia vs. Germany)? Design and function seem the same, even if they appear slightly distinct. I just ordered the Tremmory, and now I'm wondering if this is perhaps superior.
They function pretty much the same! This is just the original AEX invention.
Nice demonstration Bryce 👍.
If I wanted to restring the guitar will the bridge stay in place or moves and go down.
Thank you! If you take ALL the strings off, it will move (with the medium tension at least) because that’s a lot of pressure you’re taking off the guitar. I’d still recommend doing 1 string at a time. One string at a time and it doesn’t really move.
@@bvanhoosen thank you 🤝
Hi Bryce! Is it easy to change your guitar tune with this stab?
Edit: I mean will the tremolo stay in tune after retuning?
It makes it easier to tune your guitar, yes!
I was actually gonna buy a Tremmory but they are super expensive. I emailed Alex … thanks for the info ! I heard back from Alex and he has a new AEX5+ tremolo stabilizer that I’m gonna order for my LTD KH602! Can’t wait to try it out 🤘🔥🤘
Just ordered 2 AEX 5+ for my Solars... are you happy with yours @romanshredz?
@@itshsilva Yeah still got it on one of my guitars 👍 works good.
Does he have a website that i can purchase through
Hi. Is this better or worse or similar to the Tremmory you reviewed?
Thanks for these videos, are really Helpful and there is not too much information about these new mods.
Do you need to retune after you installed this one?
I had to do it with my Tremmory, for some reason it moves my block out of place a bit, after i retune all is great and i can deactivate it when i want a more free vibrato or some flutter, the flutter effect is also reduced by a slight amount when you install the hardware in comparison with not having it, but long flutters are not really necessary for me.
The Spring choices for the installation was a trial and error thing for me. I bought those same yellow ones to fit a 71mm Tremmory Unit in a E Stardard Tunning with 10s and i had to tight the spring claws too far til i had no more headroom if i need it, so i come back to my Gotoh High tension springs and i put only 2 because with 3 the space is too small, and even with 2 the space is not enough but it works fine, so at the end i probably need some standard tension springs and use again 2. I prefer less springs because the bar feels less tense and also the flutter when the system is deactivated.
Regarding the Dropping i haven't tried this yet but i guess if you try the high tension little spring that comes with the Tremmory the detuning of the other strings should be really minimum and easy to fix with a simple fine tunning in case you want to record something. Also i could imagine that when you pull heavily back the bridge the return will be better for the tunning at the 0 point. The downside is you add more stiffness, but like always, you have to compromise.
Exactly! Sounds like you got it. I did have to retune ever so slightly - but like you, once I get it in tune it’s IN TUNE. The springs are definitely a trial and error thing. Since I use light strings, I opted for the super light springs. Hope you enjoy it!
What gauge do you use with this thing? I use mixed, half 9 - half 10 string set. And how easy will bridge move with the stabiliser on the light setting?@@bvanhoosen
how i want get this, the link is gone bro..
Hey can you do big bends on one string without the other strings going out of tune? Usually with a regular floating trem, if you do a big bend, you have to dive bomb to bring the strings back to normal.
Yeah! The bridge doesn't move when you do these, so you don't have to do anything afterward. Maximum tuning stability.
@@bvanhoosen Thank you for your reply. That helps a lot. Is there any reason why you prefer this over the tremmory? I enjoyed your review of that product as well.
Can i use this to easily change tunnings?
Thank you for this video. I would’ve never found out about AEX’s stabilizer any other way. Just got mine through the mail. Love this thing. Quick question for Bryce and anyone who bought it: it was mentioned they come with multiple springs with different resistances, but mine only had the one. Did everyone get multiple springs?
Not multiple springs on this one - they come in pre-set different stiffness though. Usually I get them medium or light tension
Ah, cool. Mine must be a medium then. This stabilizer and a push in style arm totally transformed my guitar. Thanks again for giving it some notoriety!
How much did you pay?
i like your style
does the feel get stiffer at all??
Hi dude! Thanks for video!
Finally which tremsetter performs better in your opinion?
Chromov, Hipshot or Tremmory?
Thanks for watching! I haven’t used the hipshot, so I can’t comment there. But the Chromov and Tremmory versions function about the same from what I can tell. AEX continues to make improvements on his version though, so it’s always getting better and easier to install and setup haha
@@bvanhoosen got it. Thanks for answer🔥🤘🏻🎸
Does anyone know how to order one???
Was waiting on this before I bit the bullet on one.
It’s worth it! I highly recommend them
Very cool dude, i emailed alex to see if i can get one of those, i love so much floyd rose and my future guitar with upgrades is going to be so cool, just need technique but im working on that
Hell yeah! Not sure if it’s possible to import from Russia these days, but it’s a great tool!
@@bvanhoosen yeah, i emailed him but no response yet, maybe i should go with the goldo box or something like that.
how can i contact alex to purchase one of these? whats his email?
I can live without doing the flutter. If in the event i ever get a tremolo guitar. Also how do you think a brass block would sound with a stabilizer?
It'll sound good! If you like the sound of a brass block, and like the feel of a stabilizer, then they'll be great together!
@@bvanhoosen definitely keep that in mind
The Russian one its better than the Tremmory german one?
that's cool!
Definitely is!!
What does the adjustment screw actually do? Nobody seems to really say
Lol it literally just locks it into place. Tight is locked and stabilized, loose is not stabilized. It’s not an “adjustment” - it’s an on/off
@@bvanhoosen so when its unscrewed does the trem react like it would if it werent there In the first place?
Does Alex's stabilizer leave room for the guitars back cover plate to be reinstalled without any problems?
It does indeed! I have the back plate on all my guitars haha
@@bvanhoosen Cool, I'll have to msg Alex to get the scoop on cost, etc.. Thx
@@frethand101 hell yeah, hit him up! He just messaged me recently, so it sounds like he’s able to ship to the States again.
@@bvanhoosen Yeah, I gotta do something, I have an '89-ish Charvel that I bought in '92 that was fine up through the mid 2000's, but then I started to have zero return prob's with the Floyd.. It stayed in tune great if I just played it locked down with no whammy tricks, so I finally gave up and just started leaving the bar in the case, but it nag's at me every time I think about it so I'm out to solve this issue.. 😂
@@frethand101 Ah I hear that. I'd also suggest checking out a new Schaller Floyd baseplate. Had the same issue on my 89 Charvel and that completely fixed the issue.
Got mine and it didn't fix the issue...still can't keep the right tune after setting....
Sounds like you might have bigger issues going on. Some things to check -
Bridge knife edges - are they chipped or cracked anywhere? If so, replace the baseplate
Bridge posts - are they coming out or leaning forward?
Nut - are the screws holding it in place tight? Is the nut moving?
imma get one. thanks :)
Hell yes! Do it!!
I really have a doubt, i dont have this stabilizer, yet, but the thing its that i use too teh tone vise pitch shifter (basically a d tuner that changes the tension of the 6 string to down to Drop D, and i know that this stabilizer do his job, but i dont know how it will work with this, and most important, dont know if the stabilizer doing this only let me do dive, its a big question how this will work, i havent seen any type of combination for that on youtube, just people who block the tremolo
Haven’t used the Tone Vise thing, but I go between standard and drop tuned literally every show with this thing, and it works great. I’m sure you will have no problems using that with this stabilizer.
@@bvanhoosen oh, thats wonderful, you are the only one who answer these doubt, thank you! and nice playing technique!
@@dr.dawshy8211 thank you!
@@bvanhoosen you are able to down tune using the fine tuners alone or do you unlock the nut to do so?
@@Jerminator1984 for drop D/Drop C stuff I just use the fine tuner. Tune to standard with the low E fine tuner turned all the way in, then back it out when you want to go to D. Caveman approach, but it works!
What’s the difference between the tremmory and this new one?
They’re made by different people/companies
tremolo stabilizer AEX is the original. This is my invention. Tremmory is a copy of my invention. See RF Patent 2407067 c1. year 2009. The Germans are making a copy of my invention. The original tremolo stabilizer is made in Russia. chromae@mail.ru
put a link please ! =]
Hey Bryce, will it fit on strats ?
Yes, it most certainly will!
@@bvanhoosen which is the best ?, tremmory or AEX made tremsetter ?
Ps: Savatage Shirt! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thank you! 😁
can i do flutters
Yes, but only you my dude
Hi, awesome video and walk through on the thing. I would like to buy some of those, would you please give me the guys contact? Cheers
Check the video description!

“Can you do flutters” - went a bit ham with the edits 😅
Man you have such a beautiful blond hair, why are you dyeing the roots to black? LOL
🤣🤣🤣 good question
Where are these available ? Are they unavailable sue to the current state of affairs in Russia ?
Yeah I’m guessing so. Haven’t heard from him since the start of the war, and I’m assuming sending anything from Russia is going to be extra difficult now.
@@bvanhoosen I've tried to email him twice, and both are returned saying unable to send. Bummer...
@@otcmetal1591 might be weird stuff going on with the internet out there given the current conflict. He just emailed me yesterday though, so seems to be working now at least!
Can you still get 1 considering all these ridiculous sanctions from the war?
