In this video I present to you the unboxing of the all new Arrows SZD-54 2m power glider. I have never had a glider before but so far I must tell you that I very impressed with the overall construction and ease of assembly. The price is just right as well.

How’d you like it? We had a windy day a few weekends ago, and one of our members called out for a “Glider Day”. I showed up with the Arrows glider, Conscendo Evolution and my 6 year old Hawksky. I let everyone that wanted to fly the Arrows give it a try. Not a bad comment from the group. Very solid flying plane. Definitely different from flying the Conscendo, but a lot of fun trying to catch Up Drafts and trying to stay airborne 30+ minutes.
Jeff thanks for checking out my content, and I love this glider. This is my first and only glider, but I am learning a ton with it. For example, I have switched up the stock setting and set it up using a simple full house set up. If you do not know what that is, you need to check out how I set up my SZD, and how it flies.Two words: Game Changer. Videos are on my channel. Cheers.

Put in at least an 8-channel receiver so you can do a full house setup that what is what makes a glider so incredible and complicated
For sure.
You only need a 7 channel rx for a full house setup. 6 servos and a motor.
So I got away with a 6 channel, and a simple full house set up. game changer!
@@RCPlaneAddict you won't be able to do full ailerons or camber settings like thermal, speed.

James, you are right about the full aileron, but I was still able to do camber settings. Check out my channel for how I set it up and flew it. Works great. Please let me know if I messed anything up or can improve my setting. Sounds like you are not new to the glider world, unlike me. Cheers.
Nice I would put tiny amount of shoe glue at the wing tips and horizontal stabilizer.

It looks like the cheaper 2 meter glider from FMS, the same rubbish. Also the stabilizer should click but does not, you end up holding it with tape. One bad landing and the wing spares bend and locks break. Locks cannot be replaced and you need to use tape to hold the wings in. It looks great but is a bad design.
Ruudy, thanks for checking out the channel. I cannot argue with the design. There are many things that could be improved on, but you do get what you pay for, and for the price, this is an amazing glider, despite all of its design flaws. If you do not believe me, you will just have to push the button and buy one for yourself. Disappointment is not in your future. Cheers.
Hey you can hand launch this plane, you won't have to worry about the jungle height grass at your club.....
I can definitely hand launch, and I do not belong to the "RC Grass Club" anymore, so that will not be an issue anymore.
