I’ve been there with my children a few years ago I am German and it was just a 10 Hour Ride from our home! I will go there again with the grandbaby in a few years!

My wife and I first saw this programme on broadcast TV in Australia about 20 years ago. It was to be another 18 years before we could get there and found it well worth the wait. BY then they had finished the tower and chapel which still lacked its roof tiles. These were being made at the time and were placed a couple of months later.
Every visit will bring new discoveries as the work continues and we want to go again. The pandemic has prevented more trips but it is on our itinerary next time we get to Europe.
YES! Watched it when our children were young, and was able to visit it when they were young adults.
A fantastic project ! Experimental archaeology is the best way to let us understand the techniques used in the past in the construction of the beautiful buildings that we can still see today in many old European towns and cities - from churches and mighty cathedrals to grand castles. The amount of work is breathtaking and we are indebted to those masters of many different trades who make such projects possible.
This is such a good series. I wish this crew would do another but from Saxon times

Fantastic INDEED! Wonderful! We need thousands of these projects, where we learn that people 1000 years ago were not dummies! They built cathedrals, castles, boats, bridges, all without computers or fancy instruments. How did they do it? Look at this and learn! Absolutely wonderful! Going to visit when I go to France next time-- in a boat, not a plane! Congrats guys! Maybe we can faith in humanity again! It's possible -- thanks to guys (and gals) like this ! My hat's off to you! Putting this video on my Art History class, and also Current events. People must know of this!
