I visited Altea, near Benidorm last summer. I found a little bar on my way to the supermarket: t'was great as I was on foot in the heat of the Spanish summer and a 'cheeky' cervaza helped me in get back to our apartment. Fond memories of trying to communicate with the Spanish lady in the bar with limited Spanish (she has zero English) but we still managed to communicate about wine, paella an the sea!

When I lived in Salamanca, I always used to order “una jarra” if I wanted something bigger than the traditional “caña”.

botellín o QUINTO (more common I'd say) - never heard of "un doble"
Quinto-a great addition to the list! Like everything in Spain, ordering a beer is a regional thing. Amy's in Madrid where "un doble" is quite common.
"Una doble" is pretty normal in Madrid
Here in Andalucia we order a "tubo", that would be the equivalent of a "doble".
