I knew Danderous Music products are awesome. Never could afford them. Wtached your video and had to demo it . On The master I used Capital Music compressor --- Marley ---- and The Dangerous Music Bax Eq- Just sounded so good- will use it on all my masters. Truly over the Top!
3:10 this is so weird, my bass gets louder when the filter is engaged at 18Hz. Alesis M1 Active Mk2 speakers here, I think they cut off around 40Hz or there abouts.
+LiL Rain Production I am currently teaching a mastering course. Check it out at www.mpginsider.com Live online classes can be attended for free... Cheers! Mike
I got this plug-in while I love what it does to the hi and lo end - however, it feels like it collapses a bit the image of the original. Without turning any knobs on it - simply turning it on and off, I can hear the position of the instrumentation in the mix collapsing a bit. I tried blind test and I could identify every time it was either on or off (in default setting).
Interesting you point that out - I believe I think I recognize what you meant, and it made me think, is that hallowing an illusion next to bypass bc we're just enhancing the high and lows relative to the mids that appear to drop back, or might it be like you questioned is it an algorithm sumation issue with the plugin? At any rate, my head starting going to 'what plugin could I pull up to fix and re-enhance that mid upper mid image?' That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it almost seems that if you're going to use it on the mixbus then we'd best mix into it from as early on as possible..
Whatupppp Mike??? Bro your videos are the best. I go straight to you when I buy a plug in. Hey can you zoom in a little faster sometimes to see the parameters. I notice sometimes you do it kinda deep in your video already.. But keep doing your thing no knock on you. Stay Up
@@gedbeat15 Haha. Preferences is the word which comes to mind. It's a long way to go until that veeery long chain of things that happened in your life alters your perception and it takes over to make you believe there actually would be something like good and bad...or things that "suck". It seems you believe you have a kind of measurement or index that would put you in charge of judging those things and claim them to be some kind of universal truth and you created the only rule for that. This attitude can easily become a great hindrance for being creative. It's a good thing to have a free mind as a creative person. In the end all your ear reaches is nothing but sonic waves. The rest is completely made up by your mind, based on preferences. Cheers

But I can assure you, writing essays in comment sections is an exercise in futility. You really thought you were saying/doing something huh? Lol

Not that weird I don't think, as usually with any filtering around there it has a knock on effect higher up in frequency
cool, what you think for mastering EDM .. uad: massive passive, bax, chandler, brainwork digital eq, using m/s for more stereo also.. cheers
Good Video

@@nicholasparis5281 he said "*in default setting" which means without any boosting nor knob change.
Hey Mike! Old video here but have you found anything better than the BAX for this purpose or is this still the best today?
I enjoy, appreciate and identify with how you think and explicate, mate; BAX eq demo was par excellence! New subscriber! 🍻

Great review as usual
...And this was the best music you had to demo this plugin? Y'all couldn't find/record anything else with more dynamic range?
Aleksa Alaica Still doesn’t change the fact that the song sucks
Aleksa Alaica You must be the artist...am I correct?

@@gedbeat15 Thanks for revealing your true feelings. That's more than one can expect in such a place.
But do you REALLY HEAR it ???
+Steve Galante I do! It is meant to be subtle and musical. Designed for mastering not for effect.
Cheers!
Mike
+Michael White Well, congrats :)
Ha!
I can absolutely hear it. Especially right around 6:30.
