Great video Mike like the plug-in the mix sounds and feels good my favorite Vari mu compressor is the MJUC one of the best plugin this year peace and happy holidays
Maybe it is a UA-cam issue, but I did not hear any differences between the plugins nor when they were in bypass. Grant it I was not using headphones but am on a 5.1 surround system. Or maybe the source material is not a proper fit to capture the true capacity and intent of the plugins. Using live instruments could be a could be a potential remedy. One thing I have read about the Vari Mu is that it can be very source and genre specific and does not play well on everything. Not quite as versatile is a VCA.
@@willb3698 yeah. Id always demo it and slam the thing in places / mixes where it just wasnt the right tool. It has its strengths. Love using it in dual mono on string busses. Keeping it around 2-4 GR you will get nothing but pure open butter back
you're testing the hi pass with the bypass on. i dont think it did anything. or did it?
I really like your videos. Not only you are a master in your craft, but you also know how to teach really well. Thank you!
U73b comp sounds sick. The Mix almost sounds bad without it. With it it sounds awesome =) Great tutorial, thanks!
+Samuel Ellringmann Thanks Samuel, I think...? Hahaha. Actually, I made a mix just bad enough to show off the capabilities of the plugin!
Cheers!
Mike
