@lucasturney4269 he was also behind some work for antelope audio but I am not 100 sure. The Antelope plugins are never mentioned much but Fuse Kazrog Antelope and Klanghelm Unisum Lindell really changed the game
@@polliceverso1990 agreed! Actually they actually sound extremely close in sound when you turn down the threshold all the way and turn up the warmth on the green 5.8% after level matching. I would say the green has a more open sound than the opticom. The warmth knob also gives the green more flexibility. The green is a nice tool to have in the tool box for color for sure. Not a necessity but it's definitely a cool one to have tho. As of 11-19-24 the code. Y0XESTBCKQJK will get you 15%off. Peace.
@ it’s basically just a saturation knob with a low pass filter. I imagine it can be used on anything; I’m not really sure what makes it synth specific. I haven’t actually used it that much yet either. I’m working on an album at the moment and definitely plan to try it on some things. My favorites by them are the KClip, True Iron, and the Avalon. I plan on getting this newest one once I start mixing. I’m sure I’m going to love it. I’m going to try it as a final mix stem limiter(exactly like Mike is doing here) and see how that goes.
@@danymalsound I've used it in electronic music by automating the filters, and it's great. The saturation also works pretty well on synths. I tried it in other sources, and it doesn't perform as well. Yeah, in general, Kazrog is great.
The best review on YT. As always.
This comp was made for my taste, one of the best plugin that i have.
This one reminds me of the ACME Audio Opticom XLA-3 leveler. Which I use a lot. A real colourbox.
Love that thing as well.
The XLA-3 in Amp mode is the goat, secret weapon🤫
Incidentally, the XLA-3 was modeled by Reimund Dratwa, from Fuse Audio Labs, as were a handful of other quality PA plugins.

That is the biggest UI I've ever seen on a compressor plugin.
And yet it’s still unreadable.
@@franksanfilippo747 😂True
3:25 you can't use plugin doctor's linear analysis for non-linear processes, maybe that's it.
True. I've seen that before and that'd be my guess as far as what's going on with the Level control as well. Good catch.
I’ll buy anything Kazrog. Their plugins are great. I have them all.
How do you like the synth warmer? Not entirely sure I understand its intended use

That "Warmth" analog entropy knob sounds good to me.
The music reminds me of Tempe AZ’s - The Stereo
I tried out the demo for 10 seconds and bought it straight away for the price. At the moment there is no such plug-in on the market
ACME Audio Opticom XLA-3
Best reviewer ever.
Very clear demo as always, thanks for the vid. Plug-in sounds very good to me…might need yet another compressor! 😊
haven't heard this thing but i'm willing to bet every penny of the price is worth it for the auto gain saturation alone
Which band is this? Great Song!
Straight 🔥!
Would you choose this or UAD distressor for rap vocals if you had to choose one ?
Love it
of course it gave you different shapes. you're evaluating a nonlinear processor on the linear analysis page in PD.
🥇
Honestly, it sounds a little bit too saturated too fast imo.
I won’t buy plugins because they are the Mark of the Beast and anyone who has them will go to Hell.
what
Mike its digital fella not analog.
Those buzzword's to fool the dimwit consumer.
Vintage tube compression/saturation
