when checking the oil i've read not to thread the dip back in. just rest it on the start of the threads and check from there. you could have added more oil here but they also say to keep it under the top X so you're in the sweet spot anyways.
True. Note: On later model CT70's the filter "holder" is an integral part of the filter housing and is not removeable. With this design the locater tube is simply slid into the new filter and this pair is reinserted back into the filter housing before tightening the bolt which holds the housing caps in place. Use the acorn nut supplied by Honda on the exhaust side of the canister as this nut also acts as a limiter for overtightening the bolt. Good luck!
Iridium tip spark plugs have a much smaller tip than the conventional spark plugs, they are suppose to be more reliable and have better life and spark. (Or so I have been told)
There is no oil filter . There is however an oil screen inside the clutch cover that ca be serviced but will require taking clutch cover off to clean .
@@yorkymotogarage561 could you let me know when a 70 or 71 4 speed is available? Or do you advertise?? If so... How do you advertise?? I'm in central Indiana... Thanks..

Wow wt a beautiful 70 you have!
I understood that the air filter holder should face the carb. This gives it structure and prevents the foam getting sucked into the carb.

According the manual you're not supposed to screw the dipstick in for checking the oil level.
unscrew dipstick when checking oil level
I was just wondering the same thing all my other Hondas you check oil without it screwed in
