This was an interesting video. I am looking for more information on coppicing,, specifically relating to river locust. Will coppicing a very young tree kill it? Will new growth come from the roots? Thanks for any help!
Agreed willow is a pollinator food producer, good for shelter and hedging too.

Well my salix matsudana didn't like the chemically nucleated ice. I got some major breakage now.
Would they make good animal fodder?
Absolutely
Are these willow controllable? Or, will they spread like an invasive plant if I don't manage them heavily? Appears they would help stabilize erosion.
They're definitely not invasive.
