Thank you so much for all you do, I'm still working on learning more and manifesting my concept based off what I see and read online of Twisted Tree and Edible Acres.
What a surprise of an upload. I actually rewatched one of your old videos last week and wondered if you would ever make a new video! Nice to see you're still alive!
Hi Akiva! It would be very nice to see a video about growing mulberries from seed. I'm leaving the comment here in case you have footage of this kind, or maybe you'll consider making some in the future. Take care!🤗
Its always nice when you post a video, thank you! I'd be interested to see some of your management tasks around the nursery as you do them, even if its only for a few minutes as you get started on them
Good stuff man, gotta say you're stock is thriving at our place! the gooseberries and currants we got from you last year are about triple the size of the ones we got from Nourse Farms at the exact same time, same soils and everything, amazing nursery right here folks!
Looks great man! I have a similar (though not as expansive yet, or diverse as your nursery) I have been landscaping for around 20 years. Half the year we restore and maintain old orchards. Some of these have some hard to find interesting varieties. My goal is (at 46 years old) to ultimately almost exclusively do the home based nursery. My focus now in the nursery has been cultivars that propagate easy; lots of figs, elderberry, theornless blackberries, and I am experimenting with propagating hazelnuts from cuttings. We also collect English walnut and grow from seed. However there are some scary walnut diseases going around here in the Pacific Northwest, so we will see.. I caught you on a podcast years ago -permaculture voices that was very inspiring. Also picked up your book “Trees of Power” good stuff!
Wow, love your different varieties of currants! Would love to get a Russian White from you. I look at your website once and a while, but everything is always sold out. I grow many of the same varieties of plants as you. Amazing variety!
All our plants go on sale at the end of the growing season. I post it all Dec 1 every year. Some things sell out right away, pretty much all gone by April. Should have plenty of Russian white this year, have some potted for locals now
@Akiva Silva How are you keeping critters, like bunnies, from eating everything? They, along with deer, make growing woody perennials from seed very challenging for me.
Awesome, thanks for sharing. Please, the clumped little seedlings (trees) - do you dig them out and space them out into another bed? If yes, when, how old are they to dig them and replant them? Thanks a lot.
Thank you Akita! Wonderful! What are your thoughts on the Clove Currants? It’s too hot where I live for Currants and Jostaberries but Clove Currants are a possibility for me.
It would be cool if some sort of partnership could be formed with you and Steven at the skillcult youtube channel to bolster his apple breeding from seed efforts.
Wonderful tour! Can't wait to see it all in real life this season :)
Hope you do a walkabout in the "back" 40 soon. I remember when you first put that pond in. Gorgeous gardens!
Great stuff! I wonder how it looks like in the autumn... probably amazing.😎

What do you think about growing peaches from seed. Do they need rootstock?
Wow! Thats an amazing selection of plants.
I'm signed up for your class. Looking forward to it!

Your back!
I like the look around

Yes, they get spread out in a bed sooner or later
Does rhubarb not like clay soil? I've somehow killed 3 plants the last 5 or so years and I have no idea why. Zone 6, Missouri.

They have their own unique flavor that I didn't like at first but now I definitely do. The flowers are amazing and smell incredible
Akiva, what is the size of your nursery? How many squaremeters about?
