Most people also don't own a display that actually can display even 120 Hz anyway. So the bump past 60 wouldn't be noticeable.

Its awesome to see the console market slowly but surely taking strides it the right direction. PC has a reputation for being the strongest graphically but as a PC gamer myself, I welcome the day when consoles are just as capable as most PCs. After all, we're all here for the games and everyone has a right to enjoy them at the highest quality the developers make them.

I prefer the price of consoles and the easy set up process of plugging it into your tv and spreading out on a couch. PC's are good for work and other media, but I don't want to spend 4,000 on a high end PC.

It's highly likely we will never be able to reach 10ghz on a CPU, unless with how we currently make CPU's. current CPU's barely reach 6ghz and that is with liquid nitrogen cooling it down! but who knows 10 years is a long time, i just think we would need to change architectures and materials of the CPU to even have a chance of hitting that... for typical normal use we have been stuck at 5Ghz for the past 6/7 years now since the sandy bridge architecture

The one really good thing that the Xbox One X will bring to the industry (even if you aren't buying one) is that it'll encourage game developers to make their games the best they can be without worrying about the strict limitations of current consoles. Well... that is, for now.

Most game devs won't bother making the best optimized game they can make. It's all about making shareholders happy. All they want is sales devs like Activision or EA don't care about the work they do just the cash and numbers.

That's not true because all games must be designed and programmed to run on 2013 XB1 and PS4s. There won't be XB1X or PS4 Pro Exclusives.
That said, however, I don't buy the "we need more powerful consoles to be creative and reach our goals" narrative. Companies were saying the same lie with the X360 and PS3 and then they got more powerful consoles and didn't get more creative or polished their games more.

I just feel get the console that has the games you like to play. If you like halo or gears of war etc. get xbox one x. If you like uncharted or MLB the show etc. get ps4 pro. We are all gamer and just enjoy the console / PC you have. Lets stop looking down or be jealous of other people stuff and just play your games and have fun. PEACE TO ALL

I like PS4 cause there's more options on games while all I see on Xbox is Indy games. A lot of those games are good but there's not a lot of them that make me want an Xbox cause PlayStation has all those and more triple A titles

+MethKitty That's why I have exclusively been playing my PS4 PRO over my XBOX ONE S because there are more exclusive games (in terms of console). So far this year alone I've enjoyed Horizon Zero Dawn, Birthday the Beginning, Persona 5, Crash Bandicoot N'sane trilogy, Gravity Rush 2 and MLB 17 The SHOW. Nothing for myself to play coming up other than Cuphead and if that doesn't get a retail release I will just wait for it to come free with Gold.

You can get a decent 4k tv for $600 or maybe less if you find one on sale. They might put them on sale when the x1x releases, it would be a good marketing strategy. (Just my prediction)

As a PC gamer for the past 2 decades, pc gaming is still the pinnacle of the gaming experience, consoles provide ease of access and casual relaxed experience, nothing wrong with that but PC is my preferred platform everytime.
It gives advantages in every aspect of gaming and just using technology all together.

Hell, I'd rather have true 1080p with 60 frames and the same resolution with split screen gaming/multi player gaming instead of 4k.
Same, frame rate over graphics always. Console developers seems to try and go as graphically intensive as possible while maintain at least 30 fps.

The Xbox One X is a steal for $499.99, any naysayers saying the price is too much or the PC fanboys saying "why don't you just build a PC?" are dead WRONG and misinformed. An NVidia GeForce GTX 980TI costs today $399.99, this GPU runs at 5.6 TFLOPS, the Xbox One X runs at 6 TFLOPS, so these two are comparable so that is why I am using that GPU as a reference point. The card alone costs $399.99, you still need the RAM, HDD, CPU, MOBO, GSYNC Monitors, add all that up and you can't build a computer for the price you can buy the new Xbox One X for...... Sadly the GTX 980 TI only has 6GBs of GDDR5 memory as well, the Xbox One X has 12 GBs of GDDR5 memory and all of this for $499.99.... People need to really research before they become SJW (social justice warriors) and misinformed FANBOYS putting down something they really don't understand.
On Top of all of the this, the Xbox One X has a 4K UHD Blu Ray drive as well, go price out a 4K Blu Ray player, yeah.... See what I'm saying now?

I'm a PS4 Pro owner, I'd love to get Xbox One X if it had decent exclusives, but sadly, 4k 3rd party and a few crappy exclusives don't tempt me enough to spend so much when PS4 has so many great exclusives coming out, you just can't miss them, so I'm going to stay with my underpowered Pro, but fantastic exclusives.
Only thing I've seen that's really worth a crap coming to xb1x so far is battlegrounds. I'm one of the guys that doesn't really give a shit about exclusives though as long as it has some decent games to play on it. I never really got what was so appealing about exclusives really, is it just to say "we have this and you don't!" or what? Honestly If every platform had all the same games it wouldn't really make a difference to me, it should be whatever platform plays that game the best wins.
For me exclusives matter.. I hate stuff like Gears and Halo, but I love stuff like Uncharted and The Last of Us. It's not about bragging that I have something you don't, it's about what type of games I like to play..

Xbox is working on a lot of exclusives at the moment but they will only be revealed at the same year they are released. While playstation announces games 3 years before release date.

MaiZeAwaKened yes, but console upgrades generally every 2-4 years, but with a PC, hardware is outdated pretty quickly, and you want to upgrade or else your new fav. games won't run at max preformance. Look at the life span of the xbox 360, 2005-2013 with only three separate consoles, only the slim being an 'upgrade' which only made it smaller. 13 years and it is still kind of popular today
SMD The 360 made serious graphical downgrades towards the end of it's lifecycle. Also look at the Xbox One, 2 years into it's lifecycle and you call Battlefront running at 720p max performance? Second, if you want bleeding edge tech, of course that's expensive. But you don't need the best to have crazy good performance. Factor in $400 for Xbox Live, $300 for launch 360, and $500 for the Xbox One. Again, how is this cheaper upgrading a PC? It's not. Especially today with the advancements of AMD's Ryzen platform, PC is leaps and bounds ahead of consoles when it comes to price/performance.

I'm still a last generation Xbox 360 owner. I don't have the funds to constantly buy and upgrade a PC let alone get a new console every time one comes out. But I do plan on buying a Xbox One X this Fall considering that I have a 4K TV now and previous consoles are not 4K native. I've been holding off for this console and I REALLY hope it'll be worth the wait and money

Boogie Woogie, the fuck are you talking about. xbox one x has a shitty cpu, like really shit, probably worth around 100$. gpu is worth around 300$, i would say mid-end, nothing special. There are gpus for pc that cost four times as much, they wouldn't create such gpus if people didn't buy them and there are a LOT of people with gpus worth more than 300$. I would say more than 70-80% of gamers have a more powerful pc than the xbox one x. Your statistics are probably coming from a biased site or a survey done by a monkey who forgot to mention that pcs made for office use exists and not all pcs are made for gaming.

People that want to stick to gaming for the long run should get a pc, you can enjoy the games without any additional fees. You can upgrade at your own pace and still even play upcoming and the latest titles if your initial payment was high enough.

For the Pc elitists: I love how you guys just show up out of nowhere in the comment section saying "Just build a Pc" or "Buy a Pc", do you guys really think we have 800$ lying around our house? For the ps4 ponies: I remember back in 2013 when Xbox and ps4 came out. Xbox has more launch exclusives than Sony did and somehow Sony still outsold the Xbox one. Sony fanboys use to brag about how powerful or how good the graphics are on the ps4 compared to Xbox one. But ever since the Scorpio was announced , I hear from the Sony fanboys "What's the point of power if you don't have exclusives" even though Xbox launched with more exclusives than Ps4 did back in 2013. What I learn from the ignorant Sony ponies is that every time Xbox takes a step forward, they have always find away to discredit or criticize it in some way. The exclusives is the only strong point that the ps4 has over Xbox, the rest of the categories of the console like graphics, controllers, subscriptions, dedicated servers etc are all favorable on the Xbox one. Soon, Xbox will break that "exclusive" barrier between the ps4. With Microsoft sending dev kits to developers and devs talking smack on how inferior the ps4 pro is to the Xbox one X for example: Developers from the new upcoming game "A way out" says that the "Xbox one X makes the ps4 look like a 5 year-old Pc." The devs are complaining that ps4 won't have the limits to make there game look great on the console but instead the Xbox one X will achieve their limits to make their game look good. Soon, more developers or studios will look forward to making games for that monster of console and there will be more better looking games or exclusives on the Xbox one X and will surpass the amount of AAA exclusives that ps4 has. Actually, ever since Phil Spencer announced backwards compatibility for old original Xbox games last e3, the Xbox live market surpassed the amount of games on the PS store. So if I was a Sony fanboy I would keep my mouth shut about games/exclusives soon. The Xbox lacked in graphics/resolution compared to the Ps4 until the Xbox one X came out. The same will be said with Xbox's lackluster of exclusives, because that soon will be fixed dramatically.

What you pay has nothing to do with the price AMD is willing to give to someone like Sony or Microsoft who buy them by the million. You have to remember that AMD has less than $10 in a GPU(they don't have to make a card like when selling to an individual) and they don't even fab the chips themself; it is free money.
I as a pc gamer say, that the xbox one will run around a high end gaming pc *because* of the console game optimization. Just compare the assasins creed origins 4k performance of a high end pc and the one x. The 4k is upscaled but it looks nearly as good as on a high end pc. I dont say the xbox have the power of a good pc but when it comes to gaming with optimized games there wont be a large gap between a xbox one x and a good gaming pc.

The problem with PCs is that one has to upgrade constantly to keep up with the latest & best graphics card or hardware in order to get the best experience and that takes a lot of money... Whereas with the consoles, you can get pretty good looking games for the one price, and they should be able to last on the market for several of years before one upgrades to the next gen consoles

Here is the thing, i have a pc. amd 6100, 8 gb ram, ssd's. i just upgraded from my 2012 HD7850 to an 1050TI, consoles cant do that. For 200$ i can play all the new games great just pop in a new component and you are up to date, not with consoles. not to mention the biggest benefit, STEAM. Im not forced into or limited to the console market. sony and microsoft has gamers by the nutz and there is nothing they can do about it.

I purchased a PS4 and a Xbox One at launch in 2013, and used the Xbox significantly more. I am not a hardcore gamer, but the Xbox suited me more. Unfortunately, my day one edition Xbox One craped the bed and left we with a ton of games and no console. However, I hope to get an X soon. I would want a PC, but am nowhere close enough to be that skilled to build one. I love consoles “plug and play” mentality. Again, I am a pretty laid back gamer, but this is my perspective.
Xbox One X will most likely have its extra power wasted on most third party companies. No dev in their right mind wants to make four/five copies of each of their games.. (PS4/Xbox/X/Pro/PC). Hell, it's why you saw a lack of Pro support to begin with. It just wasn't worth it to do another version for one console. Now that aside, you'll most likely see a lot more checkerboarding games come out. On X they'll have a couple of settings tweaked up to look a little nicer but that's about it. (Outside of first party/third party paid deals). So.. Yay, a reason for devs to support the Pro at last!

great video. Whilst I don't subscribe to the console domination argument I do own a console. The xbox one and despite it's well documented short comings I still enjoy gaming on it. I think the debates between platforms is petty. I've said in many forums, regardless of which console/platform you prefer, the xbox one X is a masterpiece.
It has been developed to deliver a better console gaming experience heading forward and it puts pressure on other competitors to come up with an even better console. This is a win for all gamers.
