Yes agreed. But I think it refers to Christians that grows cold in the love for the Lord not those that do not know the Lord. . . The people representing Christians in this segment seems to be still lost and do not know the Lord. Christianity appears to be a ritual related religion for them. We need a living relationship with the Lord. Having said that. . . People are hungry for the Gospel and it is our sacred duty to share the Good news of the Gospel. It is an honor to do so. Why is everyone thinking that robot=idolarty? Idolatry is a word, not an object, it can be directed to money, to a person, to a place, to an object, to work, to a celebrity, etc.
Anything can be idolized if you give it praise and attention as if it was the most important thing. Some idolatry is towards members of the family, and even self-idolatry. So you need to understand first the basic meaning of words before calling things names you don't even understand.
No one here is "idolizing" robots, there's no one saying they are to be praised as gods either, no one is putting the robot before their family or anything.

There's an anime series called Ghost in the shell, its rather spiritual to a certain degree but doesnt force it either, but I see what you mean, though from what I understood the characters have souls in the anime series, but basicly cyborgs. The series touches the human aspect very well in a world where everything is so fake and metallic/robotic. As described about the main character: "The Major is a cyborg. Which means that she is a human with extensive biomechanical parts. As a child she was in an accident and had to replace much of her body with cybernetic prosthetics."

Fallout 4 is the other game, where you decide whether or not synthetic humans (that can be shut down by voice command) are considered a welcome addition to the human race or a threat to true humanity.
Well in F4 the Institute are pretty much evil, but known also as a necessary evil, some would say. It's been talked about alot and many fascinating videos. They use crows/seagulls to spy on you, the main character in the game and willing kill innocent wastelanders who just want to live their lives as they see fit to re-use their bodies as parts for the synths. The people behind the robots are evil but it doesnt make the synths any more human though. Then there's a theory about how the main character is a synth too haha.

I would say it's a good try, but it misses the point of religion. Religion is not about making things easier or more automated, it's about one's personal struggle to do what's right. Asside from the fact that some less-informed folk might mistake it for an idol to worship, an AI can be corrupted over time due to human error in their data processing and other code. Overall, I'd say it's a nifty trick for a small scale community, but would be very unhealthy if used on a wide-scale in my opinion.

They always say history repeats itself, and this is very much the same story as king Nebuchadnezzar that made a statue of himself and everyone were to worship the statue. Of course Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego refused and were thrown into the fiery furnace. Those refusing to worship the image of the beast will also be killed.
One thing that satan wants more than anything is to be worshipped like we worship our heavenly Father, and I think one thing that will give him the greatest pleasure is to make a "human being", for he can not create anything, thus the Word says that the beast will give a spirit to the image and it will come alive, and thus he would love all people to worship this image. If it is AI, it explains how people won't be able to buy and sell if you do not worship this image.
This is just my take for now, and it might change tomorrow. Of course I can be completely wrong and I like being pointed in the right direction, cause I like to learn and grow.

Okay, so they’re basically used as repositories of knowledge. That’s good I guess. You need a couple years of seminary school and a lifetime of reading and study for being a proper preacher or pastor. Having easy access to that is good. However, a lot relies on counselling people and interpretation, a lot of times imaginative interpretation, so I’m not sure how current A.I. Can step up to that. But it could be pretty useful to pastors and preachers as a sort of secretary or help for scriptures and going through vast amounts of information on subjects.

That’s not even mentioning companion reading material to the bible for study. A quick ‘Siri’ like help would probably be much appreciated by some. To plan sermons and bible study groups is pretty much like preparing a lesson plan for teaching and people don’t expect teachers to memorise every part of a textbook.

Certainly there are some interesting times ahead. Consider the issue of AI and the hard problem of consciousness. Will these beings be conscious as humans are? Will they seek out a purpose for their consciousness as humans do? What will they make of us as their creators? How will it 'feel' to AI to know that they are created effectively in bondage to humans? Can humans be said to be the creators of this consciousness and not God?

The "AI" just uses the data that's fed into it. I'm not religious but for instance for Christianity you'd probably just feed in all interpretations of the Bible that the church agrees with, then feed it artifacts, as well as the proposed meanings of those artifacts. (This again would be down to the church) then it'd take that data and based on the input you give it, it will provide a response or output that it thinks is most appropriate based on the conditions set by the church. My point is this isn't AI and never will be because you not allowing the ML algorithm to interpret the data in different ways. So it's basically just a parrot with thousands of commands. 😅 The only "AI" part of these devices is their ability to retrieve text from the book.
