got the 400c a few months ago for my first and only chainsaw to feed our new wood boiler . was gonna get the 261cm but my local dealer sold me the 400c with the german 25 inch bar/chain for $925 . got a countyline 25 ton splitter from TS and also some clogger wrap chaps and oregon helmet . the better half's son used to clear power lines for a contractor and he has been teaching me how to use it . i'm 62 and already had a few parts replaced and don't wanna loose anymore ! hahaha .
I've made some videos and the world has not responded. You just might be in the same boat. Great information and thanks not only for being a red blooded, blue collar, truck driving American, but for making great content. Happy New Year and stay safe. Greg in Boise with a new 400c and a 550 xp with a 290 that holds my heart.
I recently got a 400, and haven’t touched my 261 since. I actually put a 16” bar on the 261 because I only plan on using it for small limbs and such. The 400 rips with a 20” bar and could be my only saw for firewood.
I have a buddy that has a 400, and the 25" bar is a perfect fit for it. That being said, I think that the 400 has some oiling issues, it doesn't ,I think enough oil going to the bar, is there anyway to resolve this problem?
Yes u can buy an ho oiler for them i think its the one for 440 or 460 i think i have a vid on that and if i dont brian2bears has a great vids on the 400 and part numbers
As we all know, Stihl Runs The Yard. So there really isn't any comparison between Stihl chainsaws and any other brand. 🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤔 #stihlpower
