LMS did say they are aware of the iconography overload and have already began improving on this. They said next week I think they are going to show the improvement and reduced icons. I do agree that there are a lot of tests and that part could be streamlined for sure. Thanks for the impressions!
Had this on radar but you may have just saved me $400. With Primal just received and recent back of Dante and Grimcoven, may not have room for another boss-battler system.
Wise man, I'm in a similar boat. Looks good but it's not really reinventing the wheel and the fact that I haven't even tabled some of my newer arrivals(with more on the way)and recently backed a few other boss battlers makes this a pass for me.
@@karaso0 I'm on the fence as well. I decided to stay on board for Grimcoven, but I am cancelling Unstoppable. With Brink, Tanglewoods and Kemet coming, I am not sure if I have enough room for Blood.
@@crash331 oddly enough I'm on the fence with Unstoppable but I'm leaning towards yes and skipping kemet😅. Tanglewood I was going to pass on since I have the first set of 20 strong but I've enjoyed it enough I may in fact pick up Tanglewood.
Thanks for the sound preview. I've always appreciated your honestly when it comes to what you don't like. The iconography seems a bit nauseating. It is a very beautiful looking game. Yet I don't love the carnival/clown theme. Especially as much as I do like the Vampire theme. Additionally the timing with Grimcoven isn't helping LMS.
The whole cards system look awesome. The fact that it add boss cards where immediatly resolve while the rest resolve in reverse order is something I would really want to play with. Also the objective you clear which give you more rooms to play cards sound like a brilliant touch to the system. But the attributes tests and the tons of dices rolling seems to break the fun of manipulating the system. I might have back this one but I will pass. Hopefully LMS will iterate on this whole and give us a real gem based on this cards system in the near future.
What broke it for me are how the skill checks for attacks work. Each "attack" is a dice check that either deals 0 or 1 damage. There is no space for feel good turns in which you deal more damage. I don't want super swingy combat. But it feels great when you get a perfect roll that is dealing more damage than expected.
I respect that you gave your honest opinion that was enough negative it could cause people to drop out. This while having professional ties to gamefound.
I think they're replacing some symbols with keywords already, so this problem should be addressed already. I'm fine with the dice rolling. I like the tiles and cardboard scenery. I believe I'll like it, despite it's flaws. We'll see
I played Voidfall at Spiel last year and I was overwhelmed by the amount of icons I had to learn. Is this comparible to Voidfall in terms of the loads of icons?
I'm not into pure boss battlers but was interested to hear your opinion on it, the minis in this game look so good! I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on it, but i must say at times you talk so fast its hard for me to understand 😅 Cheers!

Was going to back GC but it got stale fast and what even is it! Saved more money not backing that!
Blood is a waste of money.
Tempted but I think I will pass. Trying not to back much anymore. Particularly until I play through some of my campaign games.
Nova aetas has tons of key words and icons. They made a small handbook for just those and it helps speed up the process.
Their player aid is great and does help
Hi, thank you for your first impressions and this fnal comparison to Grimcoven. Great job.
Would like to see Project Elite back in the background ;)

Yep, many things I like but I definitely have to be transparent about what I dont
Do you overall like it more than The Breach?

What broke it for me is that every attack deals 0 - 1 damage. I don't want super swingy, but some swinginess helps to get more exciting moments.
Looks like this game still needs a lot of work. I will wait for "Blood: Rebirth"
This game looks wicked awesome!!
Enjoy it :)

Lots of dice and icons... sounds like Too Many Bones.
It's got a lot of differences :)

Blood, not Dark Blood
Thnks a lot
Already paid for grimcoven,so is this worth it?
This one seems to have allot of blood colored flags...
Too much icons
Not even turns for players in a round.
Dice rolls for tests. And that is a lot. Feels like an expansive dice rolling game.
Fiddly.
