Dorian’s lifting advice combined with Metzer’s will revolutionize your results. I’ve been training to intensity and I’ve gotten bigger faster than ever before
I listened to a great podcast today with the men from starting strength. Basically they’re saying that it’s not possible to get big without getting strong. Dorian was a massive man and he was incredibly strong.
Having the right genetics definitely helps but Yate's use of a number of growth enhancing drugs enabled him to obtain the level of hypertrophy he developed. Just look at him, Zane, Arnold and numerous other top ranked bodybuilders who ceased using these drugs, and what you see are ordinary men who created an illusion primarily by the use of drugs!
Not really. Muscle size does not necessarily correlate with strength and Anatoly is an example of a man with lean muscular development who is extremely strong.
@@vinnygorg5006 What he mean is that muscle size and muscle strength are correlated to a certain extend, if you're training for pure hypertrophy and size, you will gain huge leap in strength as well, but that leap is not as much as when you train for pure strength, and vice versa. There is no one in this world who train for strength and doesn't gain size, but not Olympia size, you have to go through insane hypertrophy cycle to reach Olympia size, Anatoly's muscle are huge by normal people standard, also I heard he deadlifted 200kg in 1 year of training, so I think he either took some juice to aid early on, or has some top tier genetics.
Really? What Yate's excludes in his one minute spiel is the major role muscle enhancing drugs played in his attaining such massive hypertrophy. Without it, his so-called high intensity workouts would have not resulted in such muscularity. End of story.

@@yabbadondadda Mate I'm well aware of the drug use within bodybuilding. It doesn't mean those who take gear can't offer advice, just as long as you expectations are kept realistic. At least Dorian admits to the drug use, unlike many of the bullshitters online who give shit advice whilst simultaneously lying about what they take
@@vinnygorg5006 I disagree. Everything he says in the video regarding the muscles simply growing as a reaction to stress, and the need to lift heavier and heavier to keep progressing etc is all true. He's honest about his drug use but this clip was just about training itself which applies to everyone whether they take drugs or not (results will obviously vary from person to person). He's not saying if you train like this you'll look like me, he's just explaining what actually causes muscles to grow from the training point of view.
However, would you be listening to his training advice had he not acquired his extreme muscle mass by artificial means? Obviously not because he would have been just another muscular guy in the gym. Furthermore, lifting heavier and heavier does not guarantee more muscle mass in every trainee because evidenced based research shows that lifting lighter weights to or almost to failure results in the same level of muscle mass as heavier lifting, although with less strength development. The bottomline is that Yates. Arnold and other drug induced muscle giants' routines cannot be generalized to work for all or be appropriate for many. Routines need to be tailored to each trainee based on multiple factors.
Greatest what? User of muscle enhancing drugs? Do you think you would be so impressed by Yates or Arnold if they weren't using these muscle enhancing substances? You most probably would not!
Are you kidding? Without the use of muscle enhancing substances, Yates would have merely been just another trainee in the gym, although perhaps somewhat more muscular than some.
Regarding the training method espoused by Yates, or any other top bodybuilders, the primary driver in their attainment of massive hypertrophy is muscle enhancing drugs. These professional bodybuilders would gain inordinate amounts of muscularity with many forms of training, whether by ntensity and/or volume, as long as they took steroids and related drugs.
Everybody knows these guys take steroids. We don't need these guys to tell us their skin color to know what it just like we don't need them to tell us they take steroids. It's all the other stuff that contributes to muscle growth without it that people want to hear about. They all take so the question is what's the best methods outside of taking it because they don't all reach the same size with just steroids
Sorry friend, but regardless of the training program these professionals use, they will gain inordinate levels of muscle mass if on muscle enhancing drugs.
@@vinnygorg5006 yeah we all know that. You're not breaking new ground by saying that. The discussion is about the other stuff that optimizes muscle growth outside of steroids. People who take steroids still try to find better ways to build muscle with them the same way people who don't take them find out as well. None of these guys say they didn't take steroids it's like saying water is wet. What people don't know is how much water to drink or what type of water is best for you. That's what the discussion about training and diet optimization is for. You're just going around stating the obvious and aren't changing any perspectives
Perhaps not changing your perspective but perhaps many others. What you don't understand is that the exercise regimens used by such drug induced muscle monsters such as Yates, Arnold, and many others is that their training routines are nothing unusual, cannot be generalized to many weight trainees for reasons such as very different genetic types and body structures, and are therefore misleading them to believe that by following their advice, they too will make phenomenal hypertrophic muscular gains. Nothing is further from the truth. The reason muscle magazines have these drug induced monsters on the covers of their magazines, and have them provide their training routines, is to induce sales of their magazines and supplements by naive trainees who believe that by following these guys' routines and taking over the counter supplements, they too will attain the same muscular results. Unfortunately without using muscle enhancing drugs this will not occur. End of story.
@@vinnygorg5006 again everyone knows they won't get as big as these guys without steroids. They all take steroids, their training regiments vary, that's what's being discussed and that's what people are curious about
The problem is when you plateau at a certain weight. I was told by someone to try periodization. Go back down and do lighter weight and higher volume. I lowered the weight and went back up slowly. First 12 rep range the more weight then 10 the 8 or 6. It’s especially tough if you don’t have a spotting partner either.
The major problem in not giving credit to the major driver underlying their musculature attainment, drugs, is that they mislead countless numbers of weight trainees that they too can obtain such extreme levels of hypertrophy by following their training regimens.
Of course not! If not for steroids and other muscle enhancing substances, Yates may have developed a strong physique but absolutely not to the distorted degree he attained.
If you don't use Steroids you can achieve similar results by just resting more. Exercising once a week is enough to give your muscles enough rest to grow.
