The reason you lost the first fight was because a lot of your pop was insurgente also the dog soldiers or whatever they called now that popped were instantly shadowteched to imperial and they countered your entire army :p
Lakota player should have put 25 villagers on the firepit to pump out dog soldiers and sent the lancer 'damage vs infantry' dog soldier card, they would've countered Lion's entire army.
Nah, Sharpshooters beat Rangers. Rangers have more base damage, but less resistance, only 95 base hitpoints, and 18 range until you get the Baker Rifles shipment (replaces Yeomen), they need good micro to go toe to toe with Sharpshooters
