Hi,I'm planning to do the Via Francigena soon, is camping along side the roads allowed? or should I just follow the website
Hey pilgrim! Officially it’s not allowed to camp along the roads. However, I slept 5 times in the wild, 25 times in gardens of inhabitants and 5 times at a camping. You have to chose what feels comfortable to you. I wish you a wonderful pilgrimage.
Nobady care
In Italy free camping is not allowed, but ivy is possible. You can stop for the night, in isolated places; you must leave early in the morning.
I'm walking the Camino Invierno this year. Maybe this is next for me. Who knows? Your video is beautiful and inspirational.
