Welcome to our next big renovation project! We bought an 1899 abandoned home sight unseen in Nova Scotia Canada! We moved from Ontario to Nova Scotia across 4 provinces. We have huge plans to designs and restore this old house that was abandoned by several pervious owners! We plan to keep all the original charm & character of this old home! We will tackle all the home DIYs! Take a full house tour inside & join us on our journey restoring it! Can you believe someone abandoned this home!? We are told this was one an old farmhouse with a barn on property! Buying acreage will give us all the space we need to grow and expand our homesteading, renovating and DIY journey! This IS a dream house, you get to finish the inside to your taste rather than having to rip out stuff that someone else did that you don't like. Can't wait to watch the renovation journey.

Hi Elysia! This is so crazy, my husband and I also saw this house online and had considered making an offer on it, but ultimately decided it was too much work for two first time home buyers with no renovation/restoration experience. I am so glad it went to a family that will update it and restore it to its former glory! Thank you for sharing this part of your life on youtube. I am very excited to see what will become of this house.

I have worked hard to get pasted the camper not being done and the she shed as well !!!OCD really sucks !!!

Do not be ashamed of the house you brought. I have a friend, husband and wife that brought a house in Far Rockaway and had to gutted it out and start new. Now their house is beautiful and so will your be. The good thing is you both can do the repairs and don't have to pay someone for that. Take one room at a time and don't wear yourselves out. I'm happy for you both. ☺ welcome back.

My daughter and her husband bought an abandoned home and moved in at the beginning of the pandemic...hubby builds homes so I can imagine the beauty you will create as a family...what a journey...I know it was the best move for their family...lots of room to explore and live the best life ever....look forward to this adventure...blessings ❤🇨🇦

i love that you "see" it finished right from the start. we did this with a house a bit bigger than yours (started in our early to mid 40's) and i could "see" that one finished. there are so many who just don't have that vision, it's truly a gift :) ours was either built in 1898 or 1902 and it's way in the south but looked a lot like yours! it was built by a confederate general in madison, florida. can't wait to see your progress :) and you two are such an adorable couple!!

I LOVE the dark gray color of your house. Seriously, when you pulled in the driveway and showed us the house, my mouth dropped open. SO GORGEOUS! I hope you add the word "Gray" or "Grey" in the name of your house, like "Grey Pearl" or Grey Dunes". I'm super excited for this renovation!

I am so thrilled that we can see and hear from y'all again. I know the trip up there was even more than “ROUGH" as we watched it “afterward”. Your house does have great potential. I love all the big windows (thankful for y'all that they are new), original doors, and character that can be seen even in the condition of them at the present. Y'all are a very hard-working and positive family that loves each other and has great determination in what you “set out to do”. Plus, y'all are VERY SKILLED and have GREAT PERCEPTION (as proven by ALL you have done in the past). Y'all have certainly been in my prayers and shall continue. That house has really good bones! The width of the stairwell, the height of the ceilings, the size of the rooms, the layout etc. Everything else is fixable. This is a house people dream of but most people can't see past all the work. You guys will have it looking awesome in no time I am 100% positive. Enjoy the journey!
